Is that the Becket who was killed at the altar of the Canterbury Cathedral and was canonized and inspired the pilgrimages to Canterbury, thus inspiring the Canterbury Tales?

He was also very turbulent. [face_plain]

I also live in Canterbury, just though I'd mention it.

Really? I went there ten years ago and absolutely adored it. I remember the slightly off-kilter house and the Canterbury Tales museum, I went to see TPM in the theater and they had the first fourteen lines of the General Prologue in the Middle English. Is there still a B&B called Acadia House there?

Well, you're completely useless. If you can't speak Middle English, I'm voting you off next.

Doesn't count if you can't even spell it.

And come on, "and smale fowles maken melodye that slepen all the nicht with open ye" has to be the most fun thing to say in the history of literature!

Makes you wonder why the H and W swapped places, as when you write Whaer and Whaet, it looks much more like English.

IIRC, it's the old version of 'Hear!'
Close to German 'Hört!' (Listen up!)
