Lit Will Plagueis' way go well if he takes Dooku as apprentince?

Dooku was not that power hungry like Palpatine and he was more ideal, that could fit Plaugeis' way of "Master and Apprentice work together forever."

 

Dooku was a well known Jedi, and one of the reasons Plagueis chose Palpatine was that the Jedi did not know of his existence, despite him being immensely powerful in the Force. If Dooku had tried to seize control of the Republic I would think he would immediately be branded a darksider for his grasp at power and the Jedi would move to stop him before he could get the government on his side.
