I went for best ever. I think the fervor for this one is really adding to it. Plus, it's the last movie. The fans are going to be going over and over to try to keep the magic alive as long as they can.
I voted BEST MOVIE EVER just because I want it to happen. SOOOOOOO BAAAAAAAADLY!
Plus it has the extra day for weekend box office gross...
I'm thinking in the neighborhood of $110 million in the first weekend, personally...
It's going to be insane guys.
ONLY ONE WEEK AWAY FROM OPENING DAY!
THE SAGA IS ABOUT TO BECOME COMPLETE!
I know, I'm mega sad.
Me too... It's almost all over.
Opening Night Total:
That is pretty good!
Wonder how much the total will be Sunday?
No Star Wars opening day has let me down yet.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The final chapter in the "Star Wars" movie saga grossed a record $50 million from its first 24 hours in North American theaters, the highest box office tally ever for a single day, 20th Century Fox said on Friday.
EDIT: Ok, the link refuses to be clicky for me, and I can't even get a copy and paste link to work, so google the phrase "opening day box office" and click the second one down.
Well, as a easier alternative, i'll offer the fact the TFN has put up an article of their own.

Sorry I couldn't resist.
How much difference is there between what Titanic has grossed and what ROTS has at this point and time?
Here is what I could easily find. I am sure if someone took some time they could find more, but I supposed to be getting ready for work. LOL!
Moved to a crowded release date of December 19, 1997, the film opened with little promotion, but brought in a weak $28 million in ticket sales for the weekend. Within a week the gross tripled. By New Year's Day, the film had hit $100 million and showed no sign of slowing down. It held a virtual lock on first place at the box office for nearly four months and would become the highest grossing film of all-time with more than $1.8 billion in ticket sales worldwide.
$200,442,739 as of May 26th!! Go RoTS!
