Can it win an MTV award? Probably as many as it wants to. An Oscar? Please, no. There are films that deserve Oscars; and I hate to say it, none of the films save for TESB do.

    Oh good grief.

Why would you ever actually wish for ROTS to NOT win an Oscar? ESPECIALLY considering the fact that you haven't even seen the movie yet.

Although I personally think awards shows are meaningless, the Oscars definately included.

It'll probably win some MTV awards, not that that really matters.

As was mentioned, it won't be a nominee this year. I mean, The Duel had no chance in "Best Throw-Down" or whatever when something like Ryan Reynolds vs. Triple-H (Van Wilder Helsing) is nominated, anyway. So it's ultimately better that we wait.

At the same time, I do feel extremely confident that the movie will be the one 'spoofed' in the opening sequence. I even created a thread about this a week or two ago. Of course, no one really gave a flying squirrel, so whatever!

Why would you ever actually wish for ROTS to NOT win an Oscar? ESPECIALLY considering the fact that you haven't even seen the movie yet.

Because there are other, more deserving films out there. Schindler's List is an example of a film that should win an Oscar. The Silence of the Lambs is an example of a film that shold win an Oscar. The Phantom Menace... isn't.

Yes, the films may be better than many that do win Oscars, but they aren't the type of film that should win an Oscar anyway. Star Wars is and always will be big, fun summer action movies; not heady winter films.

Mustafar Knights, how about you realize that Star Wars, just like any other movie, is just that. A MOVIE. How do you know ROTS won't be good enough for an Oscar or any other award for that matter? Until you've seen the movie, at least have the decency to keep your stupid ass un-justified opinion to yourself. Stupid prick.

Anyway, it probably won't get any awards. Or even get nominated for that matter, knowing MTV the awards will probably end up going to something like Glock thugs or Big black attack.

not to be offendin anyone black, hell im black myself

    Pretty sure it will

And to those that say the MTV movie awards suck:

You're kidding right? With the state of the Oscars right now?

The MTV movie awards are the only one I give a **** about anymore. Thankfully, Million Dollar Baby will probably not be anywhere near it.

Does the MTV awards even really mean anything? I have not watched it in 10 years. But I hope some type of awards are presented by some function.

Well, no, it really doesn?t mean anything but it would still be cool to see Star Wars win a few Golden Pop-Corn awards.

I think ROTS may be it's own worst enemy in the best villain category,as if Vader,GG,and Sidious are all popular,it may prevent any single one of them getting a nomination.
