Will Star Wars cross over with "Once Upon A Time"

They're already basically doing a Frozen sequel on the show now. And with Ep VII coming out next year, it would line up to feature something Star Wars on the show. (not saying they should)

Will they milk the Star Wars pony for all it's worth in the coming year? It is Disney after all.

 

Well technically it was mentioned in Once upon a time by one of the fairy tale characters thus establishing that yes.... The star wars universe exists in OUAT.

 

A sarlacc was mentioned. I think it's very possible we'll see something, but it'll likely be twisted like the normal fairy tales are (Ruplestiltskin is the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Red Riding Hood is the Wolf, etc.). Also, as a sidenote, in last week's episode of OUAT, you could see Mjolnir in Rumplestiltskin's castle. So I think that it's possible we'll see something SW-related besides the sarlacc mention at some point.

Now, will we actually see Luke, Han, or Leia? Unlikely. But I did write a fanfic about that. Didn't finish it, though.

i would quit star wars if they did this. thats worse than a wookie holiday special.

 

I'm not saying they SHOULD do it, but they MIGHT. And there is nothing we can do to stop it. The current season is complete bolagna fan service to the 10000th degree.

 

To be honest, the absurd suggestion in the thread title was enough to make me wonder if you were simply trolling, then suddenly...

Because Disney is the only company on the planet who would want to turn a profit on a multi-billion dollar investment.

 

I pray not. I watched the first season but afterward jumped ship when it devolved into milking famous stories for boring, repetitive plotlines. I've seen a little of Frozen's crossover, and IMO it's so bad and reeks of jaded cashing in that retroactively hurts the characters and the film.

But Frozen and OUAT are made more directly by Disney. Something tells me Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, being a little more removed, will not take that step.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Everyone knows Disney is a company. But they are unique in their marketing. Not that Star Wars hasn't already been marketed and plastered over everything since the beginning. I think now we're going to see it on a whole new level. And yeah, they're investment does worry me that they will try to squeeze every penny of it out of the franchise, long time fan opinion be damned.

But again, I'm not against Disney. I love Disney. They could do almost anything and I'd still love their films.

 

So this is the crossover everyone is looking for.

I dont see Disney doing anything more than just having the show continue on making little wink and nods to the Star Wars universe. I mean its not like they are going to do something stupid like reveal that the "magic" in the show is actually the force. Then again....they have been doing some pretty stupid stuff so. its not totally impossible

 

I hope that no Star Wars characters make an appearance on OUAT.

 

Except for PT characters. leave em' there.

but is this "once upon a time" an American TV show? a euphemism of some sort? *shrugs*

 

I'm a fan of the show and obviously a life long SW fanatic. If that does happen I will loose faith in humanity, hole myself up in my flat and drink myself into a vegetative state where I won't possibly be able to think about something as wrong as this
