The film lover/historian/purist side of me dislikes it, but its not a huge deal. I own both versions.

I wonder if now, after watching TCW and becoming very fond of the clones, I would like overdub more than I did when I first saw it. The biggest reason I didn't like it was because, "Eww its new"

Not only because I loved the sound of it, but also, it just seems like such a waste to abandon all of that work.

 

I've gotten used to the idea over the past decade and a half that most of the Star Wars products I can get really excited about will be written (at least partly) but never released.
Sword of the Jedi, Underworld, Zahn's completed but unbought novels, the Baron Fel comic.
There's a small, cynical part of me that's convinced if Episode 7 is great, once it's wrapped the only copy will be locked in a vault under Antarctica. It's the only way to fit the pattern.
