    I don't know...

    OFF TOPIC:

Hey, if I am playing via dial up, should I just forget about trying to get competitive?

Should I wait til I get cable modem to even play on the server?

Depends on your average ping. I think just before we took the server down, the ping was set at 400, if your running a ''good'' 56k connection, at the lowest it should be in the 200-400 range (maybe 150 if you pray ;))

My friend connects from Utah all the time and he gets an average of 250-350 consistently, though he has lag sometimes, but i would try every night if i were you!!

You know how to test your ping right??
    hope this helps

    peace~~

in reply to your 56k question....yeah it's still worth playing. Since the server is closer to you it actually isn't that bad. The servers only allow up to 5k of data for each client, so it doesn't take up TOO much bandwidth. It's just a lot smoother with a cable modem.
