    Granted, I have not read the books or seen the movies. But there was no middle ground option, so this one stands. ;)


    Interesting. After reading the first book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien there was no way I was going back to anything he wrote. I haven't read Rowling, but I just found this difference very interesting.

    Do you like mythology? The Silmarillion is well worth a look if so. It's also much shorter than LOTR despite covering about 10,000 years :p
