No. I don't want to spoil myself too much, and SW has always been a visual/musical experience for me. Reading about it is wasted.

I wouldn't exactly call the novel a spoiler in the traditional sense. You are still finding out things in the context that they were meant to be revealed.

Even still, I'm not reading it. I'll probably buy it on day one though.

Nope, definitely not. I usually like to read books after I see the movie version, and then only if I loved the movie.

Nope, not reading until after the film. I kept the novelization of AOTC within five feet of my computer three years ago for three weeks before the film opened, and I didn't read it until after AOTC's release.

I've made up my mind, I'm not going to be reading it. I will buy it when it first comes out (pre-order to be on the safe side) and then wait until after seeing ROTS to read the novel.

Out of all the spoilers out there I only know 1% of it (thanks to one of my friends who has spoiled himself big time.)

Yes I will not be able to resist.
Besides, there's extra bits of info in the book that I want to know before the film. I think it gives a better understanding of the characters in the film.

I've decided not to read it. I am *spoiled*, but film is a film. Star Wars started as a film and I do not think anything can change that.

I think that when it comes to reading the book or watching the movie(both for most cases) it always is that the book is better. However in almost all cases the book is written before the movie or the idea for it. I must therefore submit that I will not read the book before the movie or ever, I haven't decided yet::voice of 'frank the tank' at mitchapollaza in oldschool::.

Not likely, not only because I don't have ANY money, but because I want to see the only Star Wars film I will see in theatres without any spoilers.

I read TPM after the movie came out and I loved it. I read AOTC before it came out and loved it so much I was disappointed that some of my favorite things from the book weren't in the film.

I don't want to be let down with ROTS because I went into it with a well-defined vision of what to expect. I've also remained relatively spoiler free for this one so I don't want to ruin it all now when it's so close to release :p So, I voted no.

Will and did! It's excellent! Honestly, I don't consider reading the novel a "spoiler" per se. A spoiler, to me, means you know a portion of the story beforehand, ruining the end of the film. What I read was the story in the order that Lucas/Stover meant to tell it. Reading from page 1 to page 416 meant I read it in the order it was meant to be presented. Now I'll be able to go to the movie and pay attention to other things: the cinematography, the photography, the designs and FX, the general story, the presentation, what when and where behind the story and not be distracted by trying to understand minutia. I haven't been spoiled, I've been enlightened.

I don't like knowing exactly what's going to happen. I read just enough of the spoilers to get a vague idea... but reading the book would take away from the experience for me.
