I love the cover as well. Mine in en-route from Amazon US as the UK site had a 3-5 week wait to get it. Hopefully mine will come in a week or so.

Everyone on Geonosis, including the reek, the nexu and the acklay, being poetic is hilariously bad--except for Windu and Dooku, who are just hilarious.

3PO actually channels his inner Dorothy: "A nightmare, this! We're not on Tatooine, Not anymore: O, there's no place like home!"

    They muse.

REEK: I come, the reek, with horns severe
A coat of armor, sharp as spear
Such bulk as could destroy a ship
No creature from my grasp may slip

ACKLAY: The acklay I, with teeth like knives
    Made for defeating human lives
Six legs, like iron set with spikes
I rage and I do as I likes.

NEXU: I am the nexu, small but fierce
With claws design'd frail flesh to pierce
Barbs on my back to work you woe
I'll catch ye whether swift or slow

BEASTS: Now foes are food and food is fair
Come, blood, through fog and filthy air.

I just got done reading The Phantom of Menace last week, so I can't wait to pick this up. I hope the next few films are done as well.

Now that I've read it - I thought it was good. Interesting to see shout-outs to other things besides Shakespeare in it, as well.

Really liked these books. It was fun to see the saga retold in iambic pentameter. The little drawings spread out were fun. Hope he ends up doing one for The Force Awakens.

I picked up the RoTS book in Forbidden Planet last week but haven't had a chance to take a look yet.

Ian Doescher is doing Ep VII. "The Force Doth Awaken" will be out on October 3, 2017. I hope they do the audio book version too-- I love those! Still hoping for audio books of the prequel ones too.

I wonder if this means Rogue One might be a possibility?

I can imagine a little scene where two first order stormtroopers stand around and wax lyrical about how all recent events feel "familiar"

I think a "The One Rogue" book is a certainty considering these Shakespeare books clearly bring in the[face_money_eyes]

I loved these! The art was pretty fun as mentioned, but the best part was his take on certain items, or his addition of monologues that enhanced the characters. Super fun!

Audible has a pre-order up for the audiobook version of The Force Doth Awaken. Yay! I was really hoping for this. The audiobook is due out on 10/3, the same day as the Certain POV book. Which to listen to first...?

Just a note for UK folks - I pre-ordered The Force Doth Awaken (and some other SW stuff) on Amazon UK and they've given me an estimated delivery date of the end of October for the book.

Audiobook and story spoilers for The Force Doth Awaken:

I was amused by the heppabore, but the rathtars' song made me LOL. I'd forgotten how some creatures are portrayed as a complete 180 in these books, heh.

I'm not sure what I think of having translations provided for Chewie-- sometimes I like it, and other times I like it better when his translated words are left to the imagination. I don't remember offhand if the other OT Shakespeare books translated for him or not.

    Favorite line so far:
"Back to Jakku? Our newfound friendship hits its first blockade." - Finn

Just a note that if you're in the London (UK) area (or will be at the end of October) Ian Doescher will be doing a signing of The Force Doth Awaken at Forbidden Planet on Oct 27. You can see full details here on their website.
