Williams prequel literature

Does John Williams ever talk about his prequel Star Wars music? I?ve read quite a bit of literature from the original trilogy, but very little on the prequels. What gives?

I'm shure that the lit. will be there in the future. But as it stands, the prequils are not even finished. I think that much will be said when Ep.3 is finished. this will bring the OT and the NT together. then it will not be 2 trilogys but one saga.

On the other hand, JW wrote the theme for Gilligan's Island, and I regret to say the there is very little information on that song. Who knows what will happen? Oh well, it was worth a shot.

He didn't actually write the theme, but he did score some of the episodes.

 

no, he acctually did write it, I took a Music Lit. class this semester and it had that in it for a "modern music look at JW"

actually, the theme is titled "The ballad of Gilligan's Isle" and is credited to either Sherwood Schwartz or George Wyle. I think that your prof. was probably confused and saw that JW wrote for some of the episodes...

 

Yeah JW did not write the Gilligan's Isle theme.

On topic, I think it's just not been enough time. Once the new films are done, you will see more information about the entire scores...
