back again... I'm participating in the Hardcore Modeling Challenge over at CGTalk and the subject is Movie Icons, and good ol' Han (as he was in ANH) was one of the choices. There's a choice of modeling a bust or a statue, and I've gone for a bust for both my entries (John McClane is my other entry). Originally planning to just do straight poly modeling with some bump maps I got to this stage 1st pass [image=http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/4201/001fk7.jpg] 2nd pass [image=http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/3433/003rw1.jpg] It was at this stage I decided I wanted to try something different and took the model into Skymatter's Mudbox. 1st MB pass [image=http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/5739/006kp7.jpg] realizing I'd forgotten the ears (stupid) I had to export a low level mesh back to MAX model in some ears and then put it back into Mudbox and re-sculpt the details... 2nd MB pass [image=http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6905/010ze2.jpg][image=http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/8604/011kv7.jpg][image=http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/5378/012fz3.jpg] I think if you block out the fact he is currently bald it does kinda look like him... thoughts?
