Wispy smoke

    Hey all,

    Does anyone know of any tutorials on make "wispy" smoke like one might see in a bar? If there are no tutorials does anyone have any suggestions on a method in 3ds Max that might be good for creating this effect?

    i have no real idea, but i would try to play with the lighting... sounds like it could possibly work...

    there's a nice tutorial in the MAX tutorial directory for cigarette smoke from a single cigarette... just use the same principle...

    or

    use an atmospheric apparatus box gizmo and use volume fog...
