Poll by Jango10.
No. I'm always really, really, really late to the new technology party.
Other. There was a Hi-Def format war?
I haven't read the whole article myself, but [link=http://hometheater.about.com/od/dvdbasics/a/bluhddvdinfo.htm]here you go[/link].
Interesting, thanks. Hadn't heard a thing about it.
Already have a PS3.
I plan on getting the PS3 later this year. But in the meantime, I'm going to be enjoying my "dead" HD-DVD player.
Already have a ps3
Yes (or, my parents are. I'm going to rely on my laptop for the next four years and hope that when I get it in August it'll have blu-ray capacity).
Yes but I'm going to have to wait til I got steady employment and for the price to drop a bit
No. Not in the near future. Eventually, though, I will.
Yes. I plan on buying a PS3 later this year sometime.
I put maybe. Right now, it is a definite no. But if prices drop by Christmas, then I may consider.
Eh, maybe. I want to invest in something that will last longer than this format war did so I'll probably bide my time for now. That and I need something HD other than my computer monitor to watch it on.
Nope, going to be sticking with regular DVD.
Not in the near future, no. My dvd player works just fine, and I don't buy that many movies anyway. Heck, I still have my VCR and video tapes, too, and will until they break. Besides, I can't help but cynically suspect that as soon as most people convert their collections to Blu-Ray, someone will come out with a brand new format that suddenly everyone must snatch up.
That goes for me as well.
Probably. I dont have any use for it, but i still want to have it.
No. Optical drives are beginning their exit from the stage, and I don't want to latch onto a technology that will have begun a fade within a year or two.
I bought a PS3 a few days ago, so problem solved..
Nope, I'm happy with what I have.
Same here. Heck, I just finally got an mp3 player.
Not in the near, near future but in the next six months.
