    Ok, the 22nd is looking the go. BUT yes, there is a 'but'. Seems the nurses and staff at the WCH are concerned about numbers, large numbers. They are worried about it scaring the kids too much. So, this is what will be happening, as far as I can tell.

    This was in conjunction with the 501st to start with, and they are organising it. So the wife of one of the 501st member (a WCH nurse) has organised the 501st to go on the 9th of October. If they pull this off without scaring the kids and with good reports, then the 22nd is a goer. So, please keep this date free if you can, and stand by. Unfortunately we cant work this any other way. The staff at the WCH have control, which is their job. I will probably be with the 501st on the 9th as will TK so we will make sure they put on a great show so we can all come on the 22nd. ;) Stand by for further information on this event.

    I've done the Women's & Childrens visit before & believe me when I say it is most rewarding to see that you've put a smile on a sick child's face. It is something you'll remember.

    ANNOUNCEMENT


    Ok. The WCH have said no to any weekend visit and if we were able to organise a weekday visit, it would only be 3 or 4 at the most. So I am guessing this is a no go. BUT if I have contacted the Flinders Medical Centre and have someone working on the Royal Adelaide, so let's keep our finger crossed. If anyone else has suggestions on kids we can visit and make smile, please, by all means, post them, ask about and lets get ourselves out there...

    Yes, . sighs Seems the WCH wont allow us to visit on a weekend at all. They insist that a promotions officer be with us and they only work 9-5 Monday - Friday. AND they said if we agreed to those terms, that only 3-4 maximum members would be allowed to attend. Kinda defeats the purpose of it all.

    I am working on something else.....will keep you posted ;)
