San Fran, CA WONDERCON 2006: FRI, FEB 10 - SUN, FEB 12.

Dacing??? Absolutely!!! What ime is "early"? I probably won't be able to get to San Fran until around 6 pm Friday.

 

The Club hours are 9PM till 3AM.

I think it's free before 10PM.

And yes, nine is actually early to show up for the SF club scene.

Dancing to 80's tunes after a long day of SW events...Hmmm. I have not been to that place since the days of the "Old Republic." Great memories of that joint.

After we all got our groove on at the Alpha Bar/Jabba's Palace, affair - it would be great to do something like that again - sans costumes of course.

 

Sounds like a good way to let loose after setting up for the con, Tina! Depending on when we finish setting up, we can probably have dinner and/or see a movie at Metreon first.

Actually, I haven't been to that club in a long while. Chanel and I went there often, starting with her birthday in '03. Should we wear 80's clothes, too? Some clubs with "80's Nights" sometimes let you in for free if you are. Better buy a couple cans of Aqua Net just in case.

 

Most of my 80's clothing went to Good Will. I think I saved a pair of ankle zipper Guess Jeans just because that was a staple item girls wore in the 80's. Lycra Mini skirts, oversized shirts with shoulderpads, a perm and big earrings? Nah - I'm not going back there!

Sounds like fun to me. It will be nice to get the chance to dance with no costume on. I usually get off work at about 7:15 right down the block from the metreon so just let me know where to meet you guys. I just have to remember to bring a change of clothes so I don't smell like a dog (or rather like 30 of them). lol

 

Dancing sounds awesome - I will definitely try to make it to this! I had so much fun at the Halloween party.

Going back to topic, you can purchase your advance tickets at the next meeting at Things From Another World. I believe they're $30 for a 3-day pass. I think they may be selling individual day passes as well. But you may want to call them to be sure: 415-369-6131.

 

Sorry for the slow response...I'll definitely be there on Saturday. Count me in! I may be doing a masquerade entry on Saturday evening...still ironing out details. But would love to hang out and help a bit at the FF Table and/or the SF Browncoats one. So, I'll be around!
