FF:NSW Wonderland Meet

well a few of us have white fanforce tshirts although I don't know whether anyone plans to wear them. I will since I discovered that the water park is closed.

I reckon we should make a rule that everyone has to wear/carry something to do with star wars. From a tshirt to a Padme doll or a book or something. And it has to be visible on the outside of you if it's clothing. That could be fun. Can you imagine the faces of people walking past?

 

is the water park really closed? are rides that involve water, but not water rides (ie, splashy rides) still open?

and i dont think i have anything star warsy, other than videos. i have a hand held game, but i doubt that would help here.

 

Do I turn up in full Sith gear again, then?

 

Yeah, turn up in costume? Then you can do all sorts of things:

1) Go up to balloon or ice cream sellers and tell them you're supposed to fill in for an hour.

2) People will come up and ask you for directions, etc. Then you can say things like "And *I* decree you can just march right up to the front of the line".

3) Sneak up on people.

4) Have a bit of a saber fight, then go get some food and enquire about the "staff discount".

... I guess it wouldn't be so wise to wear full Sith robes on most rides.
In that case, I'll probably have one of my 12" figures or something.

 

I have Luke's green lightsaber and a battle droid gun I can bring along and lend to someone. Bioth have realistic movie sounds

No, when I go in costume, usually little kids run away, or start crying.

Gecko, I dunno about that pirate ship, I might go on it. Last time I saw it looked pretty daunting, but hey I was 12 then.

I'll most likely be wearing my FanForce t-shirt and a pair of cargoes (with SECURE pockets to keep all my stuff from falling from the Demon) so the new people can recognise me. I'll probably get to Wonderland around 10ish, depends on how quick Sam and Cassius are ready.

And costumes? Uh-oh...

 

ok, i was leaning towards coming on saturday, regardless of tomorrow...but after seeing DAs pic, i might have to avoid it

but seriously, i think i am prob around 70% chance of coming.

 

I'll be there around 10ish, I've got an appointment in Penrith at 9am should be finished around 9:30. But I've got the NSW Contact sheet so if i'm going to be really late I'll call someone.

Anyone who turns up in costume will immdiately be boycotted - we want to actually be allowed into Wonderland.

I don't really think we should all carry something Star Wars. We're really quite a recognisable group. We have a set meeting place, and we'll most likely be the only large, completely insane group there at that time of the morning. If you want to bring something SW along, great, but its not a rule. I personally do not want to carry anything I don't have to.

It'll be great to meet everyone else, I'll be able to put names to faces. Just gotta remember to bring the walking frame and arthiritis pills

bloody work just called a stocktake on saturday, so everyone is getting called in, is not fair dammit, I give three weeks notice and it still doesn't work out.

My boss called up at 8am on thursday and gave me the bad news. I swear the boss did it just to spite me, I tell you.

I'm with Shadowfire here. If you had only told them last week, maybe, but this has been planned for months. It's not your problem that they suddenly changed their minds. You arranged for a day off, and you should be entitled to it.
