Did you make sure to order your copy of The Phantom Menace on DVD?
For anyone interested in the Boston area, I will be at SFX Convention next weekend. I believe it is in downtown Boston and am going to attempt to put a link on this post. I will feel very technologically important if it works....ok, well, it didn't work...let me get the website address, that will just have to do.... http://www.hobbystar.com/boston/index.html
afterall, I'm only a wookiee.....
Aw, Peter, I'm going to miss you; I'm in Michigan right now, on my way to upstate New York. On vacation with spouse catching up with all the kids, family and friends; will be back in the islands at the end of the month.
peter mayhew, i said this in another thread, but we r from the same town in england. i think anyway. wow, if this is u, wow
Chewbacca. What a Wookie!!
A great scene in Episode III would be as follows. As a battle rages on, the camera pans off, and we see a 10-12 year old Han Solo rescue and free Chewbacca from slavery. Not a long scene, but just a tip of the hat, to the original players. After Solo frees him, you get a quick pan back to the action at hand.
I cant believe its really you.
I was born in 84 but my older brother was old enough to see ROTJ when it first came out.
We watched Star Wars and played with the action figures all the time.
Chewie was always my favorite to play with.
You have been with me since before I can remember, and will never be forgotten.
Peter -- Good to know you and your family are well. Have to say, we're disappointed that you're not in AOTC...but are hoping for the best in EP3. Naturally, you are OUR favorite in the SW universe -- mostly because you're so hugable and make us laugh. TPM could have used this, IMHO!
You posted a reply to me the first time you were on TFN and my now 9-year old daughter (who has been nicknamed Chewie since she was 1 year old -- and still refers to you as her big brother!) -- remains thrilled that you actually responded to us. Anyway -- please take care. Peace!
Peter, I'm back. Hope to see you here soon.
well this is a first for me to say hi peter. i think its amazing that you are on this board with all the maniacs. i believe it was darth sapient who what was your favorite line, well of my fav chewbacca scenes is in rotj whe he see han again in the cell and han lukes crazy- a jedi knight. i always liked that scene for what ever reason.
Hey everyone; let's keep up with Peter here.
I was one of the many who saw Peter at the convention last week...(Ray Park was also present)
Hey Mr. Mayhew tell everyone how the Chewbacca outfit smelled after getting wet in the trash compactor.
chris2, so glad you got to meet Peter. Maybe one of these days, I'll have that privilege, too.
Hello Peter & friends!
I just also found this thread about the same time I was going through some more pictures from DragonCon and the dinner at Planet Hollywood you mentioned in your first post.
Here is a picture I just found of us at the restaurant:

I hope we get to see you again next year at Celebration II & this time I won't let Quincy bring a loaded (supersoaker) blaster to the convention.
Peter what do you think of what you've seen of Episode 2?
Is good, no?
(Peter's probably like, "Just add Wookie!") =/
Peter do you think you might be in one of the next two films as any other character?
I was just wondering if you had any upcoming appearances in the Philadelphia area.
wow, no one's posted here in a while.
*Does a double take*
Peter Mayhew's posting here too!?
Dude; You ARE the wook!
i have a question for you mr mayhew.
what was your first reaction when they asked you to play chewbacca ?
and who asked you? did you had to take a screentest first?
Flyingseal, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response. According to his bio, Peter hasn't posted since last October.
He's been mired in the Enron scandal.
I guess Enron didn't have Wookies in mind when they designed it.
