Wookies or Ewoks ?

? HOW DO STONES AND ARROWS KILL A STORMTROOPER IN BLASTER ARMOR?

At no time in the movie does that ever tale place. We see troppers get it by them, scream in surprise, maybe get a little dazed, but there is never a death.

 

Ewoks all the way. If there was a bunch of Wookiees running around Chewie wouldn't seem so special.( And I probably wouldn't stay to watch it, one wookiee howling is nerve wracking as it is.)

DEFINITELY wookiees.

On Hoth, the Rebellion's finest can't stop the Imperial drive. Hundreds are killed in the effort.

On Endor, a bunch of teddy bears take down some of the Empire's crack troops. Only one is killed.

That's just not right!

The only way I've ever been able to rationalize it in my head is that the Rebels were doing a LOT offscreen; but even still, it's incredibly annoying. Wookiees make so much more sense. And it would have been easy to get around the blaster problem; they're escaped slaves, and couldn't bring any weapons with them. Hand them some spare Rebel blasters and they'd be fine.

Also, I don't buy the whole Ewoks-triumphing-over-evil-technology argument. The Rebels use tech. The Old Republic used tech. The lightsaber is a magnificent piece of technology. Sure, the naturalistic Ewoks taking down the destroying machines is all nicely symbolic -- but it's symbolic of an argument that is UNDERMINED AT EVERY OTHER POINT IN THE SAGA.

So why bother?

Wookiees forever.

 

Wookies are teh stronger, and they have a shorter temper, which is good.
