"Niiiice" can stay but only Armen can use it.

All the others need to go except "won the Internet."

The usage of "feels" as anything other than a third-person singular verb needs to be retired for all time.

"Cray cray." Just leave. Now. And never come back.

Also, "mid-season finale" can go to hell.

I support the use of "23 skidoo" when said in a Bane voice with the phrase, "you have my permission to die" added after it. There is never a wrong time for that.

"Cray" is a close runner-up to "feels" for me, and so is "vacay" (thanks DL Mara). "Totes" too (unless referring to actual tote bags of course).

Oh, and I think "preesh" (short for "I appreciate it") may be the single greatest abomination of shorthand English. *shudders*

I think that honor belongs to "tater," Rew. But I am in agreement.

Vacay is annoying. And I hadn't heard preesh before. I swear to God if any of my friends say that I will beat them mercilessly.

Emphasis on the epic part, and not just as a random superlative adjective, but also as a genre descriptor for every single movie or TV show with a lot of special effects. No, that's not what epic means, stop it.

When I say that I compose epic poetry, I don't mean that it's really cool. In fact, it's usually the opposite of that.

I've never heard "totes" and "amazeballs" used unironically, but then again I don't hang out with the cast of Clueless.
That's the fault of TV networks putting months-long (sometimes up to a year) gaps in the middle of seasons, so writers tailor the midpoint to feel like a "finale," usually by having a major plot arc conclude and/or employing a cliffhanger. The way it came about is annoying, but the term itself is valid, I think.

My annoyances are definitely more with the concept than the term.

Every single word. I want humanity to communicate by clapping and grunting like lobotomized seals.

Yah but then we'd have to start a new thread trying to decide what types of claps and grunts we need to abolish in 2015. Personally, I really hate fast claps.

What would be so wrong in not mentioning that fact? As an example: it happens all the time with network shows this time of year... we all know it's a holiday hiatus, but the last episodes this month of Brooklyn Nine Nine & The Goldbergs didn't tease us by saying "It's the mid-season finale!"

"______ will return on January 15th!"

    is preferable to

    "THE SHOCKING MID-SEASON FINALE!"

mostly because it seems like no one gives a damn about the writing on the show until they can get a cliffhanger out of it.

Winter hiatus is nothing new for U.S. television. It's usually only a month at most. "Mid-season finales" are more often for shows (mostly on cable) like The Walking Dead that have much longer gaps in the middle of their seasons. Although I guess I don't watch much of the "Big Four" networks anymore, I haven't heard the term used for a routine hiatus.

Ahhhh, I see. I presently (and in the recent past haven't) don't watch shows on basic cable networks (aside from South Park), so I have yet to experience such an extended delay.

Also, how do you actually have a finale without a finale?

I don't think "feels" has made it to Australia, so we're lucky there. But honestly, beyond "niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice" was there any other option to vote for?
