FF:SA World Cancer Day- Walk for real hope Fri 2nd Feb -8PM

I heard about this on the radio & I went Here to find out more.

In short, it's a walk from King William St to Elder park to raise money for cancer research. I was thinking the SAFF could get involved..certainly S-P & I would like to do it. It could either be costumed or not , either way's ok. Would raise awareness if Vader were to show though . Anyway, anyone else want to do it too ?

Christine from the Cancer Council just googled 'Walk for Real Hope' and found this thread - somehow she recognised us

In response to DV's question,

"An answer to a questioned listed 'why so late', this is due to being able to include families that will need to come into town after work and dinner, peak hour traffic earlier and also the fact that we want the walk to end as close to dark as possible. We will be holding a type of candle light ceremony at the end of the walk followed by a small concert"

And I just got my yellow 501st TAG shirt

 

umm.. i rechecked my calendar and found out that the Big Day Out is on that day and i am afraid i wont be coming along to this... I will donate the gold coin donation into the relay for life tin instead...

sorry... i thought i had it free but not going to miss out on the BDO this time around cause some of my fav bands will be on show...
