Calgary World Fantasy Convention 2008

I got a e-mail, though a member, It is a Speculative Book Fair in Calgary Dec.9th @ Hyatt-12-4pm. Go 2 www.worldfantasy2008.org 4 further details.

 

To clarify, the World Fantasy Convention will be held Oct 31 - Nov 2 2008 at the Hyatt Regency (www.worldfantasy2008.org)

There was a fund raiser Book Fair held on the 9th for the World Fantasy convention.

I picked up a copy of Imperial Earth and a paperback "The Hobbit."

It really isn't that kind of convention. Apparently your membership to the con is revoked if you wear a costume.

It's a professional writing convention, meaning writers and artists get to network with each other, agents, and editors.

 

hmmm. Then I guess we could always delete this thread unless we have some writers in the house.

You don't have to be a writer to attend. You can certainly be a fan of the written word - especially the fantastically written word . And I happen to be one of those...
