World Wide Fan Film Production: Filming Crews and Actors Needed

For those of you who don't know there is a Fan Film in the early stages of production being made by members of the TFN board from all over the world.

We are still in Pre-production but we will need filming groups to do the actual filming. If you are interested you can be anywhere in the world, as long as you have a Camera (Must be Digital), and you are able to capture your footage, and save it in an agreed format (Pal, ntsc - avi etc.)

ALSO: We need actors.

If the filming crews have access to actors that is a bonus, but we are auditioning for Actors/Acresses also, and will try to connect the two if they are not already.

If you could give us more information about your film then perhaps we'll be able to help you man

I saw your website and I found nothing ...(ok, ok I know it's under constrution)
but what is the storyline ?? how many characters have you ?? and what is your budget right now ??? what about your equipment ???

Ok to clear things up... This isnt for MY film which is linked in my signature... this is for the Internation film project being worked on by alot of people such as Nick Long, Tumblemonster, Wixmmm, and many other people from the boards.

I do not want the story to be known too soon, that is why i didn't mention it, i would like it to be at least a little bit of a suprise, the less people know the more of a suprise it will be.

So, for now that is why i only asked for filming crews and actors, once we have volunteers we can see where everyone lives and see who we can put togther and then they'll know the WHOLE story.

I'm intrigued at how a fan film can be made in different countries with different people.

I guess if you have characters that only appear in one place (set), then you can get away with it.

I dont see how this could be nation wide..do you mean that people film themselves on bluescreen and send that footage to you and you will add it into the other peoples footage? How will you get footage from lets say canada or the UK when you live in the USA?
Just curious.

Do you need any Visual Effects in this film?

I have a lot of talent in compositing(Adobe After Effects 5.0 (OS 9)

Little talent in 3D(Maya 3.5 for Mac OS X)

And I am a pretty good texture painter.(Adobe Photoshop 6.0)

During this summer I will be getting a dual processor (both running at 1 GHZ) Power macintosh G4.With: 1 gigabyte of RAM.And a Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti Graphics card.

Will you be using compressed video footage?

What resolution?

What type of cameras?

Digital Video? or Film?

You can send me the footage and storyboards and I will do the effects and such,then send it back to you over FTP or something like that.

Actually, it was already done, kind of. ROGUE was made with actors and crew from Turkey, Germany, France, and the good ole US of A.

Although it was shot in the US.

 

Maybe, but were they all members of the TFN boards before hand? I really dont know. And even then it was only filmed in one group, this will be a totally different thing.

I'm going to give this one more bump, with a bit of insight. For those that don't remember, this was the original thread on this topic. It answers a lot of questions, in particular 'how is this going to work'. I've been watching these guys for a while, and I believe it can be done.

 

I would like to know some things:

1. Where are the auditions
2. I'm an American in the UK...I just send a video of myself? What about bluescreen?

The story is being kept a little on the quiet side.

The characters are mainly imperial and rebel (kind of)

As for filming time... that largely depends on the teams we pick now, Are the film crews quick to set up? Do the actors learn their lines and dont make too many fluff ups? Do they arrive on time to film In islington from Hackney or do they have further come... London being such a big place and all.

Oh and Spider-man was ok i guess, better than i feared... lets hope curtain other movies released soon live up to our hopes!
