Worst *Brand New* Character from the Clone Wars

Since we have the best brand new character thread, how about the opposite? Which new character do you like the least?

Karina the Great is the one that just didn't work for me. The voice (speaking Basic, no less) just ruined what could have potentially been a cool monster.

 

Her voice reminded me of the kind of silly voices me and my brothers would make when we made Star Wars movies with our action figures and video camera. I agree, she was pretty lame.

Ziro easily takes the cake though. :\

 

Yeah, not a huge Karina fan. I would have barely been able to stomach her speaking Basic if the voice wasn't so ridiculous.

I thought Chairman Chi Cho was a little over the top in Trespass.

A little on the negative side, isn't it. Sorry 'bout dat.

Ziro seems to be a kind of polarizing figure. Some (like me) love him, while others really really hate him. I've yet to hear anyone say "I am completely neutral about Ziro the Hutt."

 

Odds are good the facehugger would... hug... it's face...

I don't know why, but Jaybo Hood just rubs me the wrong way...maybe he just had too much 'attitude' which soon ran out of charm for me...I dunno, I guess his novelty wore off even quicker than pacifist roller monkeys, unscrupulous trash collectors, and comically German mad scientists.

 

I think the worst thing a character can be is unoriginal and unimaginative. Say what you will about Ziro, but at least he was a bold, original choice.

Therefore I'm split between Karina-Alien-Queen-ripoff and Vindi-every-mad-scientist-ever-known-ripoff. Both are direct, unadultered copies of previous creations, and to top it off both have awfully annoying voices.

 

Tee Watt Kaa. He's just so boring.

 

But what would the chestburster look like? Would it have wings as an adult?

 

My least favorite new additions:

-Karina the Great. Maybe it was because she spoke basic, maybe it was the voice, maybe it was the creppy crest thing on her head, but it I never hear that voice again it will be far too soon. It really wouldn't have been much of a problem it she had spoken basic, because Obi-Wan could translate it to anakin and there could be subtitles at the bottom of the screen. He seemed to syudy up on Geonosian culture before the events of the episode, but no, they took the easy way out and made her speak English, probably so the kids wou;dn't be confused.

The whole reason Ziro talks the way he does it because the kids "wouldn't understand Huttese being translated through a microphone." No offense to Ziro, I love him the way he is, but a Lucasfilm could have saved themselves from a LOT of criticism if they had stuck to the original script.

-Jaybo Hood. That is one annoying, bratty kid!

- Lok Durd. He's just plain annoying to me. I can't quite figure out why. He just is.

 

Jaybo Hood - he made it feel like an episode of Jimmy Neutron, urgh

 

Between Jaybo and Ziro. Ziro would of been a fine addition to the Hutt clan if his/her? voice wasn't so well..annoying.

 

Ziro has grown on me. At first hearing, he was a real shocker, but I really like him now.

No, I thought Chairman Cho (was that his name?) was a really over simplified character. He was the worst, i.m.o. I really disliked the little wiseguy jaybo Hood, and Nuvo Vindi looked cool, but his character was a terrible cliche.

 

Also, I have to say this. The main female characters have some of the most irritating voices I have ever heard.

I just cannot like Taber's Padme impression. Its just Mission with a different character model.
Ahsoka sounds like an appropriately bratty child, and they succeeded.
Karina sound like shes on an acid trip.


The only female character's who's voices I do like are Luminara, Barriss, and Satine.

Not only did his misinterpreted line launch a thousand angry posts, but he has the neck of a giraffe. I mean, that guy must be really annoying to sit behind at the movies.
