*squashes "superior officer" under his boot*
And that is that....
Read "immortal soul" as "immortal soup" and the idea comes to mind of how best to dispose of Gascon's corpse.
Unfortunately, I can only give you one like
"How I changed My Life"
Sleazebaggano reflexes on his life changing encounter with Obi-Wan Kenobi. In his words: "I was living in a Coruscant luxury suite above the clouds, had a speeder bike and a cruise ship in my private hangar, owned a few droids that did all my chores for me and a couple of Twi'lek masseuses too. And all I did was sell Death Sticks at a local club. I used to think I had it made but that really wasn't happiness.
Now I live in this desolate planet. I break my back working in the atmospheric processing plant, surrounded only by these cute little slimy native creatures I have for pets -no worries, I take antidotes for their poison-; and a few coworkers -our boss has the death sentence in 18 systems only-. I feel more alive than ever. And all thanks to that bearded man I met one night at the club in Coruscant. Not sure what he told me because I blanked out. I must have been awestruck! It must have been the most inspiring speech ever."
I'll be honest: Han Solo & Boba Fett are the worst spin off ideas I've heard. Talk about predictable & unimaginative.
I'd like to avoid recasting the Big Three.
I'll survive it, I'll watch it and, hell, I might even enjoy it if it happens - but it would be better not to do it.
a) Iconic actors/characters and b) don't endleslly milk the same timeframe, give us something new.
I wish they would only focus on big epic trilogies. These spinoffs might be a bad idea. Sigh. I hope I'm wrong, though.
I still hope they make a miniseries about a group of regular soldiers fighting the Galactic Civil War, preferably from the Stormtroopers' perspective.
And I'd want them to show some heavy ground fighting, down and dirty, in the mud and trenches and all that goes with it. Basically, Band of Brothers in space.
I'd preorder the Collectors Edition BluRay this instant.
I'm against revisiting specific eras that have already been covered. I'd rather see them open up new vistas.
I generally agree, but this would be a different enough angle to not feel like revisiting.
I also don't really care to see things from the Imperial standpoint myself, personally. Let alone glorifying them as a "band of brothers" which TCW already did for Clone Troopers anyway.
Not every single Imperial was necessarily a bloodthirsty genocidal bigot, you know.
It's not "glorifying" them, just looking at things from a different perspective.
An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Coruscant Burn
Let's just advance this topic to the next page, I don't want to see the picture of that damn idiot frog every time I open this thread...
Playing my part in this worthy endeavor.
Seriously, though... no thread spamming.

A Yoda spinoff.
There, I said it.
I just don't think it's a good idea, Yoda is a great Jedi, teacher, character, and all. But I just can't see him as the lead character.
