i was at a tutoring session due to the fact my algebra teacher last year did not teach me at all and left me incredibly unprepared for geomytry and she asked if i collect anything and i said star wars figures and she told me her son has every vintage figure loose in mint condition with all the accessories and the death star playset in her attic, then she asked me how much its worth so how much do you think that collection would be worth?
Well, I can tell you that 'A Universe of Star Wars Collectables' says 225 US Dollars for the 1979 Death Star if in the original box and 60 USD if loose with all the parts. As far as the vintage figures go, most of the prices in the book are for packaged figures so I don't think I would be of much help on those. If you are in the US, a copy of 'Toy Review' magazine should help as it lists prices for loose Star Wars figures in the back.
Go buy a toy fair pricing guid for an accurate estimate. Just be sure to look on the figures for correct dates.
