SWRPF Archive WOTG III: The Breaking of the Alliance

That offer definetly took Yarlik by suprise. But it was plausible, atleast in his opinion "And...what planet do you have in mind exactly?" he asked, a quirked brow accenting his question.

 

MORGOTH ORBIT

The Counterpoint came out of hyperspace near Budaki's Fortress world. Attached to the ship was one of the Zazgun's own craft. Link and Naha were tied to their seats in the cockpit, and the black armored Zazgun was at the helm. He reached back and took off their blindfolds.

"You Look!" It hissed. Link and Naha sat there with their mouths open as they beheld the planet. Orbiting it was a large fleet of ships, the Sith Fleet to be exact, now fully repaired after nearly nine months in dry dock.

"That's not as many as I remember," Naha whispered to Link.

"Yeah, but it is still alot."

"Shut Mouths!' The Zazgun barked as it piloted the ship past the intimidating fleet. It was clear to them now, they were going to the surface. They were going to Budaki!

 

Jace allowed himself to relax, letting his body uncoil, "I honestly hadn't though that far. Preferably something distant, poorly known, a few inhabitable planets. Pretty, temperate capital planet..."

 

The President considered what Jace had said, and shrugged his shoulders slightly, and had General Uth bring in a holoproj of a galactic map according to the Alliance on the table "Pick a planet, and I'll let you know if I can allow you to have it." and so it went, this conversation could last for hours maybe. If Jace didn't act swiftly that is.

 

Malastare

Lak Faln landed his light freighter in a spaceport on --------- City. ((Anyone know the Malastare Capital City?)) With him were 20 men, each specialists in a certain field. They departed from the ship and hired a transport to take them out to the arboreal cities of the Dugs. The leader of them walked forward and pushed the men over.

"De chuta, holya, golgin pasa, poodoo, hahahah." Ahh, big Hutt city men, to me you are fodder, hahahah.

One of the men walked forward, and responded.

"Alonga de mino, hok palindrino yolto Gran foono latoya?" Seems the Dugs have lost their bravery, do the Gran not control your land?

"Chuba, popyulo renego?" What do you people mean?

"Dewona, kilop bexo, foloni oppit? Yulo poyit Rebelonhi Allencop, toporilyo qexto ul brando defico hutol dexol, monetlo grando non lico Dug." Why do you not fight their oppresion? They ally themselves with the Rebel Alliance supposedly dedicated to justice and freedom, while the Dugs squat in essence, slavery.

"Et tuta, blastro nonep. Opy dugist non blastro?" We have no blasters. How can we fight without blasters?

"Yulip tristo dugist. Wetret tristo blastro."
You worry about fighting. We'll worry about the blasters.

 

Jace looked over the names...allowing his mental resource to skim over the ones he was uninterested in...

Bakura.

"If it is possible, I would choose the planetay system of Bakura for the seat of my government."

 

Bakura? he thought and smiled to Jace "That is doable, provided that officially it is ours, unofficially it's autonomous from us." he said, the offer was sound and Bakura was a relatively peaceful planet so why not?

 

Baron Halycron: *Eriadu, and beyond!*

Jace's somewhat dour mood noticable brightened, "Good. I can ahve those two DSDs dropped off at a planet of your choosing. Now I wish to travel to my new system before anyone learns I have survived my "death"."

Before leaving the President's office, Jace tossed Jarv Yarlik a salute, "Good days to you, Mr. President, and good luck. I plan to report when we get up and running."

With a smile, he left the room, walked back to his ship, and left the Eriadu system aboard the Tranquility with a decent haste.

Commander Sarran: *Middle of nowhere. (In between Bakura and Eriadu)*

"Coordinates received, Baron Halycron. We'll meet you at Bakura, sir." Captain D'Tana said from her sensor station.
The attractive man smiled, and the trasnmission died.
"Set those coordinates, crew. We'll be Baron Halycron's teeth. Force pity those why choose to be the Panther's enemies."

The remainder of Requiem Fleet leapt to lightspeed; destination: Bakura.

 

OOC: I understand and obey, President. I will refrain from posting on this issue until it gets out into the open, so to speak.

However, this issue I'm posting about now isn't so secretive.

IC: Senate Chambers
Senator Dijaris addressed the Senate of the Rebel Alliance. "Honored delegates, I have come here today to ask permission for a task that is of the utmost importance. As you know, the Imperial warship Tiger was destroyed, as well as all hands aboard. President Yarlik claims that the Tiger opened fire first, probably due to some sort of weapons malfunctioned, and failed to respond when hailed. Therefore, the Olympus Station opened fire and outright destroyed the Tiger."

He paused to let the words sink in, then continued.

"I'd like us to launch an official government investigation on this matter. We need to know, firstly, what the Tiger was doing in the Eriadu system in the first place. Secondly, we need to know who gave the orders to fire."

The audience applaused as Senator Dijoris stepped down and Vice President Tiori stood up on the podium. "The honorable delegates may vote now."

Newspapers were going around telling of the fall of the Tiger.

Malastare

A Hutt freighter landed in downtown Pixelito, in the middle of the spaceport. After a cursorary inspection by a corrupt customs agent, the Weequay crew unloaded the cargo and placed it on repulsorsleds destined for the Dug cities. When they reached their destination, the Peace Brigade men turned to the Dugs.

"Teemto falying hokiny, meeso blastro. Pixelito subinto lotoy polui Dugi rotestop, Dug sacricop loyip" Here are the weapons, but we aren't ready yet. Hide these crates in the underground sacred Dug place, and send most of your Dugs into Pixelito, and have them protest."
The Dug nodded, and within 3 hours most of the Dugs around Pixelito surrounded the Pixelito Rebel Governor's Office demanding rights and their ownership of the planet.

 

Saborra shed a tear as he discovered Zaarin had, or supposedly had, died. It was time for vengeance...time to lead Kuat Armada to Eriadu to grind the rebels who had killed his friend into dust. As per Zaarin's will, Saborra now commanded the armada and was general. His ISD sidled up to the Knight Hammer and Saborra flew over to the SSD in his ship and landed, making his way up to the bridge. "Prepare the armada for hyperspace to Eriadu." the Chiss said, his voice icy with the urge to avenge Zaarin. The ships entered hyperspace.

 

Olympus

The officer walked into Yarlik's office and politely smiled "Ma'am, Im afraid the President cannot see you today, he's rather busy. But if you wish to stay he said he would give you a very posh suite to spend your time in." he said in a gentle tone, with sincerity to his voice.

IC: Imperial Palace
Bond was scoring with a sexy Imperial receptionist when the holocomm rang. Reluctantly, he pulled away from her delicious body and picked it up.

"Bond here."

"Bond, this is Key'yla," Fey'yla said. "Did you find out what was wrong with Mitth?"

"No, the scan I did showed that he was in perfect health."

"Alright, then, forget it. We have a patient here on Corellia with an unusual disease. She's holding out ok, but we need you here ASAP."

"Got it. Bond out."

"Wow," the receptionist said, trying to make herself as seductive as possible. "I didn't know how...professional you were...at everything."

"Now, now, missy," Bond cooed, "I'd love to stay around, but I've been ordered to leave...as soon as possible."

"As soon as possible," the woman echoed. "Well, I'm afraid it's not quite possible at this moment."

"Indeed," Bond replied.

Two hours later, Bond prepared to leave Coruscant.

OOC: I don't know the current situation of Imperial Palace. If it's still locked down, Bond will leave as soon as its open. If it's not, he's leaving right now.

 

Vinyamar Base

Construction was finally complete on the medium size ship cradel attached to the base. Here the Morians would soon be able to begin construction of small-medium capital ships. Once they got the plans and schematics that is...

Eriadu

A small courier shuttle touched down on Olympus station and a black figure emerged. Glancing around at the Rebel guards and techs at work, the figure hurried over to the small commercial area of the station. At a small stand selling semi-exotic pets from around the sector. The figure slipped a cred account chip to the stall owner. In return the stall owner went in back and brought out a small code cyllinder which he passed off to the figure, who quickly departed.

 

Yarlik's quarters

General Uth led Zaarin to the President, Yarlik looked up at Zaarin from his seat and motioned to Zaarin to sit "I have a proposition for you. It will be willingly, but if you decline I will have to keep you here for some time. You'll be a citizen, just highly monitored and not allowed to leave." he said, moving along to the point "I wish to offer you a position in the Alliance. As an Admiral in control of your fleet. You can accept or decline, but I'd be happier if you accepted and buried the hatchet with me and my organization.

I'd gladly welcome you to our Alliance and you'd have basically free reign of your fleet. That is of course dependent upon you and your willingness to serve us." Yarlik finally finished his offer and smiled in that endearing diplomatic matter. Zaarin could be a useful ally should he join in his opinion, however Yarlik wasn't too sure about his loyalty or what he might say.

 

Zaarin considered what Yarlik had to say. "I accept." he said, seeing he had few options. But then he raised his arm and put his steel fist into FID's cheek. Not hard enough as to cause permanent or obvious damage, but enough to hurt. "Thats for torturing me."

 

Yarlik smirked, the boldness of hitting him actually gave him more confidence in Zaarin's abilities "Fair enough..." he said and nodded to General Uth "The General here will get you a new uniform."

 

A call went out from Olympus to the Hapans for as many spare battledragons as possible. A need to bolster defenses was in order due to the latest defection.

 

Moria Base

The Morian Defense fleet along with 5 extra X-Wing squadrons, departed into hyperspace.

 

Good thing Yarlik's my friend... Veng thought as he walked into Yarlik's office. Marrissa automatically stood up from her chair, turned and dropped her jaw.

"Si-si-Sir! what are you doing here?"

"Well, my ship just got in and here I am. I'd like to see these negotiations... Yarl's tending to some... thoer matters currently."

TAG Jaina

 

Dobski saw second fleet come into the system. While they showed up the patrol left. Dobski then commed the CSA and asked for 6 VSD to come to Bimmiel. They said they would. Dobski then contacted President Yarlik and asked him how everything was going at Eriadu.AD

 

IC as Commodore Karmyn Dunari coming out of hyperspace near Research Base Obsidian

The mottled sky of hyperspace drew back into starlines, then into normal stars

Helm: Ma'am, we are dropping out of hyperspace in the vicinity of Research Base Obsidian.

Dunari: Comms, signal Captain Phorib and tell him I need to meet with him at once.

Comms: Yes, ma'am.

A short while later, Dunari's shuttle left the Unarch and travelled to Obsidian. The shuttle landed in the docking bay where Captain Phorib was waiting for her. Dunari walked down the ramp and greeted Phorib

Phorib: I have a room set up off the hangar bay, if you wish to use it.

Dunari: Yes, I need to talk to you in private. It is of utmost security.

A few minutes later seated in the conference room, they continued thier discussion

Dunari: High General Tu'kla has ordered Research Base Obsidian to re-locate here, just within the Imperial boundaries of Sector 11.

Phorib: Why there?

Dunari: I don't know, but he has sent probes into that region for sometime now. Maybe he wants Obsidian as a forward supply base.

Phorib: Well whatever High General Tu'kla's plans are, I will comply with the order. Being loacted at the junction of two trade routes is a bit unsecure. The station will be ready to depart in 2 hours. I take it you are taking Task Force Sierra Alpha under you command, ma'am?

Dunari: Yes. We are to escort you to that location and wait until all the security measures have been set up.

Two hours later...

Dunari's Task Force and Sierra Alpha were arrayed around Research Base Obsidian in a defensive screen. Obsidian's hyperdrive array was in the correct postition

Dunari: All forces, make the jump.

With a flicker of pseudomotion, the station and ships jumped into hyperspace

 

MORGOTH

Naha and Link were shoved out of the Counterpoint mere seconds after it had landed. The towering Zazgun hissed something at them that they could not make out.

"Oh my," Naha gasped as she beheld the towering fortress infront of them. It reached up, up, and up into the sky, and two massive doors were at the base, their enormous size still dwarved by the seemingly infinate height of the castle. The path they were being prodded down was lined by guards of some horrid unknown species.

The Zazgun snapped his fingers, and the massive doors slowly opened, unleashing a blinding white light that radiated from the interior of the fortress. In they went, into the heart of darkness.

After being led through an extensive ammount of hallways, stairs, and other rooms, they finally reached their destination, the Inner Sanctum. It was an enormous hall, with black stone pillars reaching several stories to the rounded ceiling. At the far end of the hall was an enormous statue of the Dark Lord Budaki, carved out of obsidian.

I have been expecting you a voice echoed. I am sure this meeting will be mutually beneficial
