Tight security for infidels, but nothing a Yuuzhan Vong can't handle. Getting in will be easy enough, getting out could be harder.

*Cjulkta spied on the opposite side of the garrison he had watched the night before. He had scaled a hill several kilometers from the base under the cover of darkness and covered himself from detection with a special ooglith masquer that made him just another part of the grass on the hill.

Within several hours of observation, he had the entire guard routine for the entire base memorized, and the location of every single security device. Cjulkta Domain Lah would have no problems sneaking into or assualting the infidel garrison sucessfully*

Taking several hours to crawl several meters to the otherside of the hill, Cjulkta unpacked his supplies and began to tunnel from the side opposite of the Imperial garrison.

Cjulkta dug with a simple shovel of yorik coral, sticking it into the hillside, and scooping out loads of the soil slowly into a large sack that he would later dump into a harbor outside of the city. That was one problem with tunneling, no matter how hard you pushed and hit the stuff, the dirt never packed but half as well as you had found it. A few meters worth of dirt was no problem, however, things went smoothly.

Thirty straight hours of tunneling passed before Cjulkta hit daylight on the otherside of the hill. He ripped out the topsoil and grass from the otherside of the hill, being quick and carfeul to cover it back up with a specially made hatch that would be impossible to detect from afar.

Crawling back out from the direction in which the Infidel Specialist had tunneled, Cjulkta gathered a remote emplaced yorik coral launcher. One of the special launchers that was able to fire over 7000 thudbugs per minute. It's range wasn't spectacular, but it was good enough and the rate of fire was high enough that it could wipe out any infidel on this side of the garrison in a matter of minutes. He set up a short chain of blastbugs to it, only several hundred, covered the entrance to the tunnel, gathered his supplies, and left for the harbor*

The gods will smile upon me as I utterly destroy the infidel base and every being inside of it. The next few days will earn me a great promotion and great favor with Yun-Yammka. Let's see any of the coward superiors top this massacre with only the minimum supplies.

Hopefully I can kill some jeedai soon as well. Glory to Yun-Yammka, glory to Yun-Yuuzhan, glory to the gods!

    Near Commenor

The sensor readouts of Commenor came back to Gerul Cast, the technical data analyzed and encrypted.

The posture of the defensive fleets was lax...they seemed to be pulling out, a retreat of some sort. For such a metropolitan planet, there was not much sense of that...unless somthing was happening in the middle of the New Order. Now would be an effective time to strike Commenor, Cast knew, and the defensive numbers of the planet would not stand up to his first fleet...

    Cast addressed the fleet.

"The time has come to make our mark on the galaxy. Prepare all battle groups...we launch in three hours. Captains, you are recieving your orders now."

Cast shut off the comm, and heard the flurry of activity behind him. Once in hyperspace, the fleet would arrive at Commenor in less than two hours. Gerul contacted Vice Admiral Myrna Dubrovick, and informed her of his situation...she was just over two days away by hyperspace...and if his signal was lost, she would hyper in and clean up.

about three hours later Preparations were complete, and the signal was given...Cast's Crushers jumped to hyperspace.

"Watch it, Kenman," Juren warned as the Rider neared a large star. Kenman was practicing flying maneuvers. "Get to close to one of those and you'll find there's no way to get away from it."

"Yeah," Ken replied as he swerved the heavily upgraded YT-2400 away, nearly clipping a solar prominence as he did so.

"Watch it!" Juren shouted, trying to inject gravity in his voice, but the cheeky grin and daredevil look Ken was flashing forced Juren's features to adopt the same attitude. "Don't get cocky."

"Me?" Ken gave him that oh-so-innocent look that Juren had gotten used to. Over the past few months the two had become fast friends, and Juren was beginning to look at Ken as a son.

"Bring us about over that moon," Juren instructed as the freighter glided around the star.

The freighter swooped low, and Juren gave Ken the nod. Ken, his eyes flashing with a fire of energy and determination, brought the freighter in close to the surface and began a run through a dangerous canyon full of craggy spires. He juked, weaved, and was nearing the end of the kilometer-long run when he got careless and snagged the port flank on a jutting cliff. Both Ken and Juren screamed as the out-of-control Rider spiraled towards the canyon floor, and Ken barely pulled up in time to get the Rider up to scrape-land on the dusty valley.

"Great," Juren quipped. "It'll take days to fix this."

    "Just one."

Juren flashed Ken a dangerous look, but his features softened as he looked at that bright face, which still hadn't lost much of its childish features. This guy is a good pilot, he knew for certain now, or else we would have all the died.

"Alright, let's start fixing. The sooner we get out of here, the better."

Poitiers winced, but he knew the proud Hapans would not be dissuaded. "Very well," he replied reluctantly. "Inform Vice Admiral Chistufa that he may leave now but will be seeing an unusually large amount of action later, and he and his people will pay other...compensation for this insubordinate action."

    "Yes, sir."

    "Meanwhile, continue the attack."

The officer turned away and Poitiers glanced significantly at HG Monroe, who patched in a request to Queen Mother Hyala Farvvad to raise taxes in the Hapes Cluster.

The NR fleets continue to hammer the Vong ships while pushing their way towards the planet of Bimmiel.

Cmdr. Trevelyan walked briskly across the city, taking it all in. He had studied the city, planet, and system considerably before embarking on the assignment, but studying was no substitute for seeing. It was wonderful to step onto and see his homeworld for the first time in 20 years.

But Alec knew he couldn't let such distractions get in the way of his assignment, especially if it was to be for the better of his homeworld.

"This is General Rikon of Traffic Control, Mirthful Gluttony. We're getting a lot more business than usual," he said in a dry tone. "As you know, many horrific weapons of mass murder have slipped through our defenses multiple times, and as a result the military has been granted control of Customs and we will be imposing a much more rigorous check than usual. The procedure may be...offensive, please do not be startled, we bear no malice towards you and merely want to make sure that everything coming in is OK. Note that this ordnance went into effect a number of months ago and is implemented on all incoming craft. Stand by."

A few minutes later a New Republic military scanning team boarded the ship and searched every last inch of the vessel for anything the NR would not want on its capital world. The crew was then detained for Intel debriefing. A full quarantine and decon was also implemented.

The same procedure went for the Gambler's Ruin.

"Commander, a large infidel force is forcing its way insystem."

"Oh really... Just the moment Domain Carr has been waiting for.'

    "Sir?"

"Requiem didn't consist of just Requiem Station, Subaltern. We've been waiting to test the late Warmaster Carr's defense system for weeks. Now we have our chance."

Commander Carr turned towards a young sub-Commander who the others of the planetary defense system had noticed doing nothing since he had been transferred here weeks ago.

"Sub-Commander Lah. You have been trained in the usage of Requiem, have you not/"

"Yes, Commander," replied the Sub-Commander without any hesitation.

"Failure will result in your death, Sub-Commander. A shameful death. You understand this?"

    "Yes, Commander."

"Good. Then prepare the dovin basals for their awakening. We begin at once."

He then stroked a villip gently, and spoke to it.

"Sub-Commander. Prepare half of the defensive fleet to being maneuver haskgrah."

All across Bimmiel, the dovin basals used in the defense of the planet suddenly oriented as one, as they turned towards the skies, targeting as best they could, the infidel fleet. While imprecise, the defense was... powerful, to say the least.

In space above half of the defensive group disappeared, heading into darkspace, abruptly reappearing seconds later, a little further away.

In an area of space between the infidel fleet and Bimmiel a massive swirl of gravitic energy began, growing larger by the second. Debris nearby was pulled in circles until it reached the center where a gravitic burst coincided with the debris reaching the center, as did a massive explosion. A coralskipper flying too close to the gravitic swirl was pulled in, tumbling end over end as it reached the center, resulting in another explosion.

The Yuuzhan Vong fleet deployed all of its coralskippers, and lay in wait, protecting the planet against anything that got past the gravitic swirl...

Nothing illegal, Yuuzhan Vong or otherwise was found aboard the ship. The Gambler's Ruin was permitted to land in Republica, where it sat, waiting for a few hours, then abruptly turning on its repulsor engines, allowing it to hover above the ground for a few seconds, then land. The passengers aboard decided to stay aboard for the night instead of going out into the city...

The first part is a post from FID...his NPC is commanding my ground forces.

    Landing craft, Shattered Moon

General Sylco was addressing his troops before engaging in battle. Most of them were green and had not experienced the rush of battle. Sylco, being a verteran had known death and was fully capable of delivering death blows. He cringed at the thought of his green troops trying to fight Stormtroopers "All right men...and women, we are going to be heading into a dangerous zone, we'll be fighting the Imperial elite, Stormtroopers. These guys are supposedly crack-shots. However, we have data to suggest these guys aren't the greatest. But don't be fooled, they can still kill a soldier who's slow on the trigger. We will disembark and start laying down cover-fire." the feeling that most of these men and women weren't going to return still bothered him. He especially loathed having a horrible attack report. But such is life, he was going to move on. Switching to a open channel throughout the ship

"Today we venture from a losing battle to one of victory. With our government fully funtional we have maintained the ability to make such a venture. As of right now you should be prepped for battle and for victory. Nearly 2,000 years ago a conquest was made and the Republic crushed it too. This is our battle. This is our time. Together you all will be making history. Now I know some will not return. But always remember, with your death we will survive! We have been called ragtag, terrorists, scum of the galaxy, let's show these Imperials who's boss!" Grabbing his R-34 pulse rifle and holding it up for all to see. "This is the R-thirty-four pulse rifle. It is standard issue, the pulse rifle comes equpped with two modes of fire, semi-automatic and burst mode. In burst mode it will charge up a blast and unleash a volley blasts sure to stop multiple enemies." he paused for a second, licking his lips to regain moisture "In semi-automatic mode the rifle will shoot multiple shots but not as powerful as burst mode. The biggest advantage to this is that it allows you to shoot multiple times without waiting for a charge."

Armor has been a big issue in the past. This battle is no exception, what we have issued you is Adegan crysteel armor. It's on the heavy side, but its benefits of protection far exceed the plasteel that the Stormtroopers use."

He looked over the rest of the regiment.

"These flyboys have the easy job...all they have to do is get us on planet, then it is our responsiblity to actually do the fighting, while the fleet boys play games in their ships." This comment brought laughter from the men, and a few hoorahs.

"Once we get on planet, we will group by regiments and squadrons, and cover the landing craft bringing down the heavy weaponry. We'll have two divisions of tanks and a mobile artilery unit. We'll also have fifty speeder troopers doing forward recon. The command post will be held at the landing site, which will have a perimeter of about three klicks...This will be held by beta and Delta group...while Alpha and Zed join the assault force. X-wings will fly air support and be working hard to take out the turbolaser cannons and Ions...it will be up to us to destroy the shield generator, and then take the capital city by force. Remember, the intel we have on Commenor is limited, so don't go after civilians...they might just be hoping that we show up. If you see any ship departing the planet, radio it to Starfighter Command, and they'll escort it to ground, where you'll police it.

Good luck to you all, I know you will make me proud...revision in 10 minutes.

    Ten Minutes later...

The 1st fleet of Cast's Crushers reverted from hyperspace over the planet of Commenor. Immediately, Fighters swarmed out of the ships bays, and took up immediate defensive postures. The DSD powered up her gravity wells, and on signal, the twin ISDII's formed up on her flanks. Gerul's Fist lurched forward of this formation slightly, and held there, keeping her firing arcs well in cover for the trio of ship

Edge of Yuuzhan Vong Space, between Ord Mantell and Vortex, aboard Prison Ship

Fhuver Vil sat atop the captain's carcass, and fumed at the Infidel technology before him. A lone Imperial Infidel who had dared resist them in combat remained, deemed a worthy opponent, and a vital asset.

Fhuver lent foward. "You will pilot this vessel over the border. Or I will personally oversee your death. No matter your courage, no matter your faith, you will be reduced to utter humiliation and regret, as I did with the Jeedai C'boath."

The Imperial raised a quizical eyebrow, and emphatically shook his head. "No! You suicidal freaks are crazy! Why would I pilot an Imperial Vessel into the Mine Field?"

Fhuver Domain Vil turned to the one called Thukij Domain Lah, who nodded grimly. "Domain Carr's legacy. Whilst in power a systematic seeding of mines and defensive nets was imposed on our border integrity. A firebreak against the advancing infidel horde."

Fhuver Vil spat upon the Warrior, as he raised his still imposing form against the junior Yuuzhan Vong. "Such actions shame Domain Carr. A Yuuzhan Vong is never defensive. We fight until we die, and then we rise again to fight more. It is the Gods Will."

    "But Yomin Carr was Warma..."

"It is the will of the Gods!!!" roared Fhuver Vil, who raised the amphistaff found in the medical lab, pointing it down upon the squat warrior, who even now beat his shoulders fiercely.
"Belek Tiu, Commander. I doubt not your oracle, nor the priests vested power in you...but...he was the Warmaster. Perhaps your time away from our people has muffled the God's Will?"

Fhuver Vil snarled and lanced his Amphistaff through the human Imperial's abodmen, twisting it around to shear his internal organs. "For the chosen, there is no middle way. No comprimise. We cleanse the Infidels...ALL of the infidels, quickly, efficently, without pause, and without mercy.

I will return to our people, and say this: the God's only truth. I will take my fleet and anyone else who joins me, and bring terror to the Infidels."

The Imperial fell to the floor, and gaped in horror. "But...you need me! You don't know how to pilot the ship!"

Fhuver snarled. "Before I was imprisioned I lived amongst you all. For almost a year. I know your blasphemous ways, and although I will not personally soil myself in their use, I will use my knowledge. Give my praise to the Gods."

With a quick flex of his tricep, Fhuver Vil slashed his staff through the man's head, crumpling his dull form to the ground in yet another pull of blood.

Now, the entire ship had been cleansed. A small step, but, a first step nevertheless.

Fhuver turned to his brethren. "Come, we will utilise the small blasphemous shuttle, and return home."

The shuttle left the ship, a tomb for the corpses within, dead with no word, simply a floating shift along the border, yet another mystery to the families and friends to the dead.

    "Yes sir.....Broad Frequency opened sir!"

"Admiral Cast, this is General Tooba, otherwise known as the Governor of Commenor. As you might already know, we would be NO match for your fleet at this very moment. We have almost no planetside defenses and no Naval commander, as he was assassinated a few days ago. We are evacuating the planet and are almost complete in doing so. 74% of Imperial equipment and personnel have already been transported elsewhere. Stealing our possessions will get you nowhere. Also, your savage act of invading this defenseless soveriegn system will not be a good move for you, Admiral. Neither will it be for the Republic, regardless on if you are still allied with them. So it's really your choice, Admiral. Fight your way into this system and lose hundreds maybe even thousands of lives OR actually think about your men and save their lives by taking this system without a fight. I'm sure hundreds of your mens family members would love to see them home for the holidays. Or is that just Imperial tradition? You will also be making enemies with Grand Admiral Skywalker. He needs all the ships he can get and you destroying my fleet will put you on his enemies list. I know the history between you two and I'd hate for that to happen. So again, Admiral Cast, the choice is yours.."

Gerul heard the tranmssion, and thought for a moment. These Imperials were abandoning a planet, and yet claimed it to be sovreign...somthing was going on here that wasn't right.

"Sir, I count an increased activity on starfighters comming from those Imperial Star Destroyers. Recomend sending a few squadrons of A-wings to screen our capital ships."

"Make it so Commander, but tell the A-wings to not break five klicks distance from the oncomming fighters unless they reach ten klicks from our fleet. If they begin an attack vector, order engagement"

    "Yes sir", the Commander replied.

Gerul ordered another transmission...on all open frequencies. "Govenor. I notice that you were abandoning this planet to the wolves...so close to Yuuzhan Vong space, and yet, you have stripped down your naval garrison, and moved most of the Imperial goods off of this planet...why? Perhaps because you do not care about these people? Does Grand Admiral Skywalker know of this? The Skywalker I know would not leave a world to be destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong...nor would he allow tyrants such as Emperor Jello the pleasure of beating him.

I do not beleive that you and him are together on this...and I wish to prove it. I say again...lower your shields, and prepare to surrender all equipment, above or on the planet...surrender not to the New Republic...but to me."

The A-wings did as they were instructed while half of the defenders stayed back to form a defensive screen for the Capital Ships. The other half formed around the B-wings as an escort, which prepared to move in on the right flank of the enemy formations. The remaining fighters took positions at the head of the battle group. "Balrog to Gerul: fighters are in position, awaiting enemy reply."

    Dathomir

He strode through the cavity of the damutek, an imposing relic of the past. Though he still wore the marks of greatness, he was a shadow of his former self...an icon of failure.

Certainly, some still revered him, while others found his antics to be the humurous musings of some elderly fool. Not so old was he, and beyond the scars, implants, grafts, and self inflicted modifications he possessed something that the younger generation lacked.

It could not be summed into a single word of the infidel tongue, but that intangible quality was experience, patience, wisdom, and many other things besides. Qualities earned, not bestowed by the gods in the creche ship.

He pressed his hand into the gelatinous pool near the door and it irised open to reveal a sparsely clothed, blue-skinned infidel suspended from the ceiling in the Embrace. He could see that the captive was alive, the twitching of his body showed him as much, but the infidel hadn't the strength to look at him.

Amidst division, fear, and waning, a new age for the Yuuzhan Vong was dawning. A pheonix had hatched, and would soon spread its wings to burn the infidels to ashes. It would sweep through the galaxy in coral ships, and be dealt by the talons of tatooed hands.

And though he had no aspirations of personal power when the dust had settled, unbridled hatred drove him to the brink of madness in his aspirations to eradicate the infidels...

...but that would come...that would come. For now there were other matters to attend to.

In the palm of his cupped hand he gently lifted the face of the blue skinned infidel...Mitth.

The Imperial's eyes opened slowly, and for a moment the cold, hardened warriors fought an unspeakable battle of wills that would not be finished until one of them lay cold and buried.

Mitth opened his mouth and spat a bloody glob of mucus and saliva into his tormenter's face as he rasped out the name...

    "Nithrak....."

    "Right away admiral."

    Turns to comlink system

"This is Capt. Hamill, all ships make hyperspace on the admirals mark."

    Turns back to the admiral.

"All ships have been notified, they are ready on your word ma'am.

OOC: Warmaster Yomin, I believe EVERYONE has to go to the debriefing.

IC: Vong spy ship in Ryloth asteroid belt
    "They're dead, Major."

"Good, our work here is done then. Do you have the droid ready?"

The lieutenant nodded, and the droid was hoisted aboard. Humanoid in shape, he was fluent in many languages (including Yuuzhan Vong), sported built-in blasters, and had pilot programming.

"TPO, you will remain here to guard this ship indefinitely."

    "I understand, sir."

"Let's move." The boarding party departed the ship.

OOC: The greatest blasphemy - a droid manning a Vong ship! :D :D

IC: JSD Determination, in battle over the planet of Bimmiel
HG Monroe and VA Poitiers, heads of Theater Armies and Navies, respectively, gaped in awe at the whirlpool of gravity swirling over Bimmiel. It was Hortan Monroe who broke the silence.

    "What the kriff is that?"

"I dunno, General. What's the move now?"

"You know my specialty is land," Hortan snapped, giving the Vice Admiral a glare. "Why don't you call the shots now?"

Poitiers gave Monroe a wry grin. "All craft, stay away from that...thing. Spread out and let's see if we can slide away to starboard."

The fleets began to shift away from the concentrated gravitic anomaly and focus on an area where the anomaly didn't cover the planet. Turbolasers lanced out, hitting a few coralskippers, while the numerous squadrons of fighters killed off many more.

"Forward turbolasers, use our sensors to locate the dovin basals generating the planetary "shield", and destroy them!"

The turbolasers streaked out towards the surface dovin basals, seeking to utterly annihilate the repugnant devices...

Something's afoot, here... Trevelyan was in the main city library, reading files related to Corellia's history as well as current events. About time he got to know this planet better...

After he was done he decided to take a joy ride and scope out the city. He drove all around, through Treasure Ship Row, through the marketplace...

    ...past the garrison...

    IC: Coronet City, Corellia

*Cjulkta was at his infidel craft, putting timed commands into the onboard computer. How he hated the infidels' abominations, but he had to use them in his line of work. The ship was now set to lift off in 45 minutes, just before daybreak. It would speed to the Imperial Garrison and crash into the shield generators at full speed, opening the infidels to a full-scale attack.

Minutes after the crash of his ship, the thudbug/blastbug launchers would open fire with over a million rounds a piece, shredding anyone to pieces who might cross their paths and causing massive structural damage to the complex's buildings.

As the infidels would be distracted by the phantom attack, Cjulkta Domain Lah should then easily be able to sneak into the depths of the compound and slaughter the infidel dogs he was searching for.

Cjulkta left his ship casually and headed in the general direction of the garrison in the guise of a overweight human, effectively disguising, or at least he hoped, all of his weapons and supplies*
