WOTR X-Wing Open Cockpit - July 9th 10AM-2PM

What time do you want me there? I haven't decided if I am wearing a costume or not yet.

 

If you need a Jedi I could come in costume,but I might not be able to get there until 11:30 or so.Is that o.k.?

I'll wear my Jedi as well, and I'll try to remember my camera.

 

I'd love to be there, but I have 2 other troops that day, and a full family schedule.

Cory,Sandy,and I had an awesome time today, thanks again for loving Star wars as much as we do!And Letting us join the gang.Cory wanted to say that he loved all your costumes and wanted to thank you for letting him watch the mini golfers;he thought that was fun!And thank you for who ever brought the doughnuts!

 

I'm glad he had a great time. He looked like he wanted to do something and chasing golf balls is definitely something for the younger crowd. And I'm glad he liked the donuts. I always try to make sure the geek fuel is there.

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out for Open Cockpit yesterday. We are seven years strong on this project, with five straight years of Open Cockpits. We have touched hundreds, if not thousands of kids with this work at the museum, making their Star Wars dreams come true. None of this would be possible without the volunteers.

Tim started this project for two reasons. One, because of the pride and confidence he had in our ability to keep the thing going. And two, because he truly loved being a Star Wars fan, and sharing that love with others, as well as the next generation. Seeing his faith in us pay off, and knowing that his memory is kept alive through this work is what keeps me going through it all, but I couldn't do any of it without the support of other fans, and specifically the RMFF. Thank you all.

 

You've got a great kid, that's for sure....and JJ, I haven't seen your application in the RL forums yet....

 

I think my costume needs a couple of touch ups,but I'm working on it.

Anyway, calling all geeks! Who's coming out for Open Cockpit this weekend? I really need some extra help this weekend, or I'm going to have to cancel. I have a baby shower Saturday (they changed the time on me), so I need someone who can close out the day.

 

I will be unable to attend as I am working WOTR's B17 event all day Saturday.

 

I'm planning on coming, but I don't want you to count on me. My body is so fried right now that I can't make promises. Sorry.

 

Sorry Zoo. I'm not gonna make it this month.
