Edmonton Would anyone be interested in holding an mIRC chat/trivia challenge as our next event?

So what do you all think of spending a few hours in an mIRC chatroom and having some fun playing a game of Trivia?

This might be a bit easier to do as a group for an event, as you don't have to go anywhere and it is free...

I was thinking of doing a question/answer type of thing for points, and whoever wins gets to hold the title of "Edmonton FanForce Trivia Master" until the next time we do it.

We would need somebody to volunteer to type questions out in the chatroom, and then give everybody a minute (or whatever) to think of/type in their answer. When the minute is up, you have 5 seconds to answer or you don't get the points. This will ensure that the slower typers still get an opportunity to get questions right.

Not sure if we would do elimination rounds, or just go on straight points, or whatever.

Any suggestions? And would you be interested in something like this? You don't even have to play in the Trivia game, just come on out and chat for a bit.

Please everybody respond with a yes/no/maybe so we can see if there is any interest, and to make sure we are reaching you!

I'm in. Of course spelling can't count because my quick typing/spelling is truly scary.
Where would we get the questions?

 

Not sure on the questions thing... there are so many facets to the Star Wars universe, we would have to decide if we would restrict the questions to the films only, or include the books/comics/video games/RPG/etc.

I have the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game (of course) and that would be a great treasure trove of questions.

Any other suggestions?

Ok, sounds good, I just need to know when.

I've signed out a 98 Star Wars Encyclopedia from the library, and I own the post-Episode 1 edition of the essential guide to the StarWars universe, so I've got what I nee3d to make and answer ANY questions.

When is this event going to take place?

 

Not sure what would be a good date for all of you? I am pretty tied up with K-Days over the next week or so, but I am pretty open after that... I do have this weekend free, but that may be too short of notice...
