Considering how many of the GFFA's problems are caused by Jedi-turned-Sith, would the GFFA be better off without Jedi?

As long as Sith, other dark siders, and dark side abominations like Abeloth are around, they're absolutely needed.

Yeah Anakin blew it when he killed Son and Daughter, they stopped Abeloth before there were Jedi.

Dark siders can and have come to be without Jedi. All it takes is one to royally screw everything up in a galaxy without Jedi.

And there's a far lower chance of them getting trained if there are no Jedi.

There are enough other insane cults that use the force that have nothing to do with the Jedi. ;)

Yeah but they aren't Sith so we never see them as villains.

All of those cults were started by Jedi and none of them would be a threat without yet another Jedi joining them.

Sorcerers of Rhand weren't started by Jedi, but they seem pretty lazy. Rakatan Infinite Empire weren't started by Jedi. It isn't unheard of.

In a galaxy of Force-using villains, you need Force-using cops.

    Without the Jedi?

Either the galaxy would be Darth Sidious' personal power supply or Onimi's necropolis.,

Nope, not given how we've seen the dark-side act upon Force-wielders, if anything non-Jedi would have less defence and be more likely to go loco, not less.

most of which start out as Jedi
    With the Jedi, it's Sidious's, Onimi's, Caedus's, Krayt's, Kun's, Ruin's, Kaan's, Revan's, Malak's, Muur's, etc.
The light/dark sides themselves don't train people. Jedi and Sith do the training.

And you assume that without the Force or the Jedi, these psychopathic individuals wouldn't go off the rails and still kill numerous people?

But still greater than zero. And that's all you need.

Plus there's the Rakata, the Sorcerers of Rhand, old Sith and other dark-side holocrons waiting to be discovered, freaks like Palpatine who are just born with a talent for mayhem, etc.

They'd kill far less, they wouldn't Jedi training, and they wouldn't get anywhere near ruling the galaxy.
But that greater-than-zero chance never goes anywhere. And everyone who discovers those holocrons are Jedi. And Palpatine would have just been a regular criminal who went to jail. And the Sorcerers of Rhand don't cause one bit of trouble without the Sith.

The point is, the Jedi actually stop all those villains. If there hadn't been Jedi during the Vong war, the galaxy would have been toast, and you can't blame that on the Jedi. And you can't blame the Jedi for their students who turns to the dark side. That's stupid; it's like blaming a schoolteacher if a student becomes a criminal. It's entirely the student's fault. They control their own actions and nothing the Jedi do can change that. The Jedi just do their best to make sure they use their powers for good. So no, the galaxy would not be better off without the Jedi, and nothing anyone can say will change my mind about that. However, I will say this: Yoda's Jedi had grown stagnant and dogmatic, and their being wiped out was for the better because it paved the way for the real Jedi: Luke's.

You can blame the Jedi for being to eager to train everyone.
