droideka EDIT: unlocking
Well, you know that scene in A.I. where David smashes the other David's head in?
I answered the second one.
It might be nice to have enough clones of myself around that I never have to go to work again; however, for certain people, it's bad enough that one of them is gracing our planet with his or her presence; I sure as hell don't want more.
No! Too many of me is bad... think of all th trouble!
do the admins want more of me posting on this board? ithink not.
besides one me is annoying euohf think of 2 or more, way too scary.
I couldn't care less if they cloned me. So, yes I would allow myself to be cloned.
Not a chance here or in hell that I would let myself be cloned. Am I the *only* one here who's seen "The Sixth Day"? That movie really told it like it is, too.
If some day my heart stops working, and thanks to anti-cloning hysteria, the technology is never developed to manufacture a replacement out of my own cells, I'm going to be really pissed.
Gah! Double post. Odd that my only double post ever, is in a thread about cloning.
Heck, an evil twin might be a step up for me.
But stil since the AMA has asked me not to reproduce I guess cloning would be out.
Hmmmm...if there was a clone of me, that would be another competitor for the most insane JCer in history...but, hey, can't have too many of me
My opinion falls somewhere between those two choices. While there's great potential for medical and research advancement with cloning, I can see the need for it to be heavily regulated.
I answered "I am a clone, I have an identical twin". Well, he's not my brother, but the guy looks just like me, talks like me, walks like me, goes to the same school as me, is always being mistaken for me (and vice versa), and get this:
He has the same name as me. First and Last. The last name is only 1 letter different... like the difference between Bill Smith and Bill Smeth. Freaky, huh?
Hell yes! Who could possibly live without me alive to hold back the forces of evil and stupidity!
Okay...just imagine TWO of me running around this world. It couldn't handle it one bit. Therefore, no.
No, I don't think so. Watching myself grow up....she'd probably end up being cooler and more likable than me somehow, and I'd get all jealous. And that would be the epitomy of pathetic.
I'm 100% against cloning of any kind.
i say go for it! the world needs more of me...
Are you kidding? The more me's around, the better!
No way, i'm not gonna let any frickin' scientists look at my **** throught a peice of glass.
I happen to like being unique.
Besides who knows what they'll do next once they clone people. Make the super-human? Experimentation in certain areas is just not good an way to dangerous.
You're JOKING?! Another one of ME around?! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO THE WORLD!?
Telling you the Truth is probly the Answers
Since a clone would only be geneticaly identical to me and would have its own personality, I have no objections.
