After having seen it.... well, yes, but I would hide it, because the show is extremely bad.

I would. So will a lot of other people. Lucas would make a lot of money on it too. Won't happen though.

I've seen it 3 times(twice when drunk...what can I say? i'm a very melancholy drunk!) I would buy it, i'm one of those Lucas slaves who'll buy any old crap as long as it has STAR WARS on it.

I also have never seen it, so yes I would buy it, even if it is as horrible as everyone says it is.

Well, like most of the people in this thread:
    ? Yes I've seen it, it's bad.
? Yes, I'd buy it if it was released.
? Yes, I'd buy a DVD of George farting into a camera for two hours if it had 'Star Wars' on the front. [face_plain]

What can I do? I've made a commitment, a commitment not easily broken...

I would also buy it. It belongs in the collection.
But as it has been said - it is not likely to happen.

I'd even buy the novel it was released prior to the DVD coming out--even though I'd be spoiled at that point.

I have seen the animated segment, and it was OK. I wouldn't watch the whole show, but perhaps they could include some of the less embarrassing scenes with the movie cast in a documentary at some point, just for curiosity's sake. I doubt that would ever happen though. I think the most to expect is for the cartoon to show up somewhere.

Yup, I'd hoped that the animated segment would've surfaced as an extra/easter-egg on the Droids DVD. Alas no :_|

Ah well... maybe with the next one eh?

George Lucas hates the fact that he allowed FOX/CBS "creative interpretation" of his work. He hates it so much that he would love nothing more than to take a hammer to ever copy and to destroy them.

If you really wish to torture yourself, I am sure that you can download it via the internet.

    >>George Lucas hates the fact that he allowed FOX/CBS "creative interpretation" of his work.<<

So why not release a Special Edition?
Everyone is happy then. He gets to have control, and most likely clean up the parts that he dislikes and everyone else gets the special they can smile at.

It's still a holiday gift in the end and not meant to be taken seriously, no matter what -- comparable to Mark Hamill's Muppet Show appearance.

I mean really, Harvey Korman? -- implicit comedy.

NOOO-I would track down every bloody one and alert George Lucas, get a nice finder's fee. He HATES that thing. Besides, why spend money on what is crap instead of giving crap for money to spend? I wish that statement made an ounce of sense!

I've seen the Holiday Special, and I can easily say that it is the worst material ever to be produced on celluloid. And I am at risk of understatement. Any description I can give it does not do it justice.

And yet, I would still buy it simply because it's Star Wars.

I wouldn't watch it again, though.

After seeing this thread I promptly loaded up Kazaa and downloaded the Holiday Special. It's been so long since I had watched it.

Wow it's bad... Put it this way.

Have anyone of you watched Freddy Got Fingered?

Holiday special makes everything in FGF look oscar worthy.

Seriously I just kept clicking on random parts of the special. The cartoon with Boba Fett is horendous. I could feel my brain cells vanishing as I watched it.

    But back to the question..

Yes I would buy it lol...I am a completist so I would buy a copy. But I would never watch it ._.
