i would totally change my name to beru whitesun. but only if i became a rock star, and only if i was a specific type. it'd be very hard to pull off a serious concept album with a name like that, heh.

 

I'd change my last name back to my maiden name only if I could change the wee one's too. Griffin is a much better last name.

 

I know a really cool guy in NY who's real last name is Whitesides. He said he has 2 hippie parents.
He wouldn't say his original 1st name but his real name now is:

Loupgarou Whitesides

 

Her motive is noble, but won't serve the purpose I think she's looking for. It just becomes another quack who's taken things too far. At least that will be the mindset for most people, I'm guessing. She will be a conversation piece to be laughed about, not a philanthropist to be respected and emulated.

THen again, I know a guy, who turned 18 2 months before his high school graduation.. He changed his name to "trout fishing in america" - yes, it's true... Pete sued the high school he was attending, because they refused to put that on his high school diploma... and he won... and that was the whole reason that he changed his name... heh heh...

These days he goes by "trout" -

that's awesome. i wish i could change my name to like, "that chick" or something. some guy in some band (i always forget who), changed his name to "he who has no name," and now everyone calls him "he-who." i love crazy people.
