Basically if waste water was recycled back into the system after being treated would you be happy to drink it. If you vote no, can you say what alternatives we should use to help ease the water strain

Yep. This was the ninemsn poll earlier, and yes had just pipped the win in there the last time I saw it, too.

    Yes, I would

I think the division in the community on this issue is more to do with a lack of awareness by the general public on both how the water we get now is treated and how 'recycled' water is also treated and made fit for drinking.

I definitely would. There needs to be more education about it though...

Yep. We drank it in South Africa all the time. Many Australians are just being ignorant...and the media's doing a whole scare campaign. Makes me sick. [face_plain]

    Yes without fuss.

Besides we have a filter at our house so it wouldn't be a problem. (I say that more for the taste, rather than expecting it to filter particular waste whihc I know would be delt with well before it reaches the sink)

Yes, we ignore the fact that the water on this planet has been through that many people and animals already.

And it's inevitable, provided we can do something about the taste of course.

I think some general public believe water from the tap is created at the moment, or something.

As Katana says, it's already recycled many, many times.

Alright, great. Now if any lawyers in the room can help me get this through as a legally binding referendum...

No diff between mains water and recycled water

And since we don't eat as much corn as the yanks it'd be easier to treat :D

Wow, first vote of no. Don't taps and pipes already equal as "somewhere else" to you? :p
