would you like to see Lando in Rouge One

 

No, of course not, that wouldn't make any sense. Lando has no connection to the Rebels or the Empire prior to ESB, there is no place for him in Rogue One unless you want to put him somewhere in the background for the sake of having him put in the background.

Now, Episode VIII is a different matter. That's a time were he could realistically appear, and it would be kind of nice to see him again. After all, he's probably the most important character from the OT that hasn't appeared yet.

 

Not in Rogue One, to be honest, but like what Oissan said, it will be nice to see my part-time co-pilot return in Episode 8... Maybe as leader of an unknown Resistance group who emerges at a crucial moment to help repel the First Order's attack - thus, bringing back yet another legendary character in an epic manner!

 

I think we'll see him in Han's spin-off.

Yeah he would be out of place in Rogue One. So it's a no from me!

 

No not in Rogue One, just would be out of place. Now I would love him to show up in episodes 8 or 9.

 

Although at some point I'd enjoy seeing a young Lando in some sort of spinoff (hopefully the Han Solo one-and his cameo in Rebels was enjoyable), I don't think it makes sense to have him in there.

I don't think it's really necessary to shoehorn cameos into R1, I think a couple are fine-but IMO it has to fit into the story, not just so OT fans (or PT fans I guess too) can point to the screen and say "Hey, look! It's _____________ (cameo character)!!" So Disney can find a reason to also sell toys of that character.

 

Rouge One: yes. Rogue One: no.

Hmmm, not sure how he would fit into Rogue One, but I hope we do see him again somewhere.

Hate to confuse things --- but Lando makes several appearances in the Rebels TV show --- I know, I know... "it's complicated"

 

Lando appeared in Maz's Castle in the LEGO Star Wars: Resistance Rises episode "Hunt for Han."



I know these aren't canon, but could this be a sign that he's still around, and will make an appearance?

Apparently, the LEGO shorts are explicitly not canon. This was made official by someone at Lucasfilm. Probably Hidalgo.

 

Lando, no. Lobot, yes.

 

Even in Rebels, Lando's appearances were always as an independent rogue (I got the irony), and not one who was a member of the alliance. In Rebels, Lando was shown to be primarily looking out to help Lando, (as he should have been at that time) and not involved in a more nobler purpose like helping rid the galaxy of the Empire.

 

I def think they will name check him or we will see him in the Han spin off but not in Rogue One, it wouldn't make any sense and almost seem like they are crowbarring it in

 

It would be nice, especially since this new actor will be in the Han Solo spinoff.

 

Lando deserves his own movie, rather than a cameo in someone else's story.

 

Hmmm, Lando is more likely to appear in the Han Solo movie rather than Rogue One... He definitely deserves more screen time than just a mere cameo (or mention of his name) in R1, for sure!

Lando will hopefully show up in both the Han Solo film and Ep. 8. I do, however, think a Han cameo in Rogue One is possible. Wanna start a thread about it???
