Would you like to see Tolkien's story continued with other movies?

both on the condition Jackson directs both

 

I voted for both, but like the others here, on extreme circumstances only. Such as PJ doing both of them so we can sort of maintain the feel of the films.

If they were to do the Silmarillion I would hope it to be more then one film, possible three... but I?m not sure.

I think the Hobbit can be rather easily made, considering Ian McKellen said he had desires to play Gandalf again for the Hobbit. Also, the book itself isn?t that childish, though easier to read, it still has a huge battle where several of the main dwarf party die... I thought that to be a bit dark.

Yes. They're not as good as LotR, but I would go to see those movies.

 

Both. I haven't read the Silmarillion but anything LotR should be a movie, as long as the right people make it.

 

I'd love to see The Hobbit with Peter Jackson behind it. However, the Silmarrillion would just be too hard and confusing, IMHO

 

I really hope The Hobbit is made, bu I have always hated the Silmarillion. To me, it is something hat should not have ever been released. It was Tolkien's history of Middle Earth, and Christopher made it into a book. I would be angry if it was made... although we all know I'd go see it anyways.

 

i dont wanna see anything added on. i still want some of the books left to my own imagination. by continuing the movies things can also get pretty complicated as far as plots and event sequences. i dont think a movie can handle a complicated timeline.

I think it would be great if they did both. If they were only going to do one, then definitely the Hobbit.

 

Just the Hobbit made into a Movie: THe Simillarion would be to long and complex to make...

 

The hobbit would make a great movie and maybe should have been made prior to the LOTR. Simarillion whilst a great book would not really translate well into a film. Maybe as an apic tv miniseries perhaps.

 

I think it should stop with ROTK. However, The Hobbit as a televison series would be interesting.

 

I have not read all of his books, but I like the way Peter Jackson is converting the stories to film.

It would take much work, time, and talent to pull off the Silmarillion, but I would love to see it on the big screen.

For the Hobbit you only need to bring back Ian Holm and Sir Ian McKellan and Hugo Weaving, then you can fill in the dwarves. And Jackson has played around with making this in a few years.

The Silmarillion would be awesome, although I'm only reading it right now, I would love to see the history of the First Age on film.

The Hobbit, only if PJ directed. Gandolf, Bilbo, Elrond, and Gollum would have to be played by the same actors who played them in the LOTR trilogy.

The story of Beren and Luthien

The Fall of Gondolin

Vingelot

Feanor's rebellion

The silmarils

and lastly the Battle of 5 armies and the War of Wrath

 

I think having the LOTR trilogy is good enough.
