    yes, of coarse. have both made, we had a disscusion on this in another thread, and we decided that the silmarllion would have to be a series of movies, and would be too good for TV.

    The Hobbit would make a great live action movie( they have made an animated version).

    I have just started reading the Silmarillion, so I am not sure how good of a movie it would be.

    I think they should just leave it as is. I personally really don't like The Hobbit (seeing a play on it with a gay elf is almost enough to turn it off anyone) and I've never read the Silmarillion.

    Hobbit would be great, but the Silmarillion would be to crazy to make into a movie...

    The Hobbit perhaps as a film ( I saw it done as a play once in my youth, it was great :D ). The Silmarillion is quite simply impossible. Unless someone has the money to make a 48 hour movie...

    I would wet my pants if I knew they were going to make a super long, super detailed movie of The Silmarillion.

    Have to agree with you there. But only if Peter Jackson did it.

    By the way, Hugo Weaving would make SUCH an AWESOME Feanor!
