I would never participate in a tourney where my card pool is limited.

Defensive Shields were a new card concept introduced in Reflections 3, and they act as a sort of sideboard when combined with An Unusual Amount Of Fear and Fear Is My Ally. The Player's Committee has made some of the old Effects into Defensive Shields too.

Personally, I dropped out of playing before Reflections III was released. Don't have a lot of experience with defensive shields. I would play in either environment (with or without shields).

Of corse I would! I have never played a deck with Ep.1 cards in it. Or defensive shields.
I just built a deck with Obi-Wan and Oui-Gon in it, havn't plyed it yet.

    Oh well....

They only made a couple, so I wouldn't mind having them restricted. Plus, if it's a non-E1 tourney you couldn't play them from under your starting effect anyway.

FYI: Many current Classic-only tournaments allow the Defensive Shields and the Starting Effects as exceptions :)

I think it would be fun to try and see the results + it would let me use some older cards i haven't had the chance of using in a long time.
