Would you rather be deaf or blind?

If you could choose between these two handicaps, which one would it be?

Even though I can hardly imagine a world without music, I think not being able to see would be awful. I voted deaf.

 

I'd rather be deaf to being blind. Think about it. If you walk about town with your headphones on, listening to music, you can't really hear the world around you, can you? But you still cope. It would be the same thing if you were deaf.

If you were blind, it would be so tough because I think you would be so more vunerable.

Deaf. I swear I'd go mad if I couldn't read.

 

Deaf. i could still have subtitles for TV and movies and a chalkboard to communicate with in small groups or interpersonally.

To me, reading is more than music. And I'd much rather see the beauty of the earth than hear it.

Of course, I'm quite happy to be able to do both for the rest of my days.

Of course, human's most important sense is sight.

neither! I voted for I can't decide because there is no way I'd survive after having heard all the music I have heard (and hear) or being unable to see! Can you imagine watching Star Wars without even one of the 2 senses? It's impossible! It was ok if you were deaf or blind from birth - can't really miss what you never had

Yeah, I'd rather be deaf even though it is unfortunate if you are either deaf or blind. Imagine how drastically your life is affected.

 

Both would be extremely hard, but I think I would rather be deaf. My grandmother is legally blind so I've seen how hard not having sight is. I just hope that both my ears and my eyes stay healthy for the rest of my life!

 

Deaf, although not being able to hear music again would be insanely depressing.
