Because everyone hates scalpers, they ruin the hobby for people.

and by buying up all the toys to resell to "collectors" it deprives kids of having the toys for themselves.

So what happens when those kids grow up and in 20 years have a disposable income? They don't want to buy Star Wars toys because there is no nostalgia value in it for them. They never played with those toys, and the scalper just shot himself in the foot a second time.

weezer what? why are you acting like i'm a troll.. or a criminal or something
i just wanted information i dont want to start an argument but i shouldnt be banned just because i make certain figures available on ebay. ebays not bad damnt.
people exchange their hard effort-earned money into the ability to get something they really want.

    this isn't communism

banning someone because they resell is ridiculous

No, Walmart is a seller, the people they buy from are distributors, if they don't get it right from the source, this is called the primary market.

You buying up stuff to sell it again is secondary market, where the main purpose is to deprive others from having it at retail price so that they then have to buy it from you for a high mark up.

You're not going to win this argument here, DM. I'd suggest you not bring up the issue anymore if you want to be able to post comfortably. You're just digging yourself a deeper hole.

With that said, let's end the topic, shall we? :)

Yeah, throw sexual orientation around like a derogatory comment, raise the bar for our opinion of "resellers". Get a job and let other collectors have a shot at figures too.

If you go to Wal-Mart and you see a Spiderman Classics Mysterio on the pegs and you sell it on E-Bay to alleviate the financial strain of collecting then your not scalping.

If you sell that figure for the sole purpose of making money for the sake of making money then that is considered scalping.

I think you may have called yourself a casual scalper for the fact that you did not fully understand what a scalper really is.

For those who do not share my belief in the 1st paragraph would be totally shocked to find that during Collecting 101 at Celebration 3 a 3 man panel actually suggested that selling on E-Bay is a good way of diverting the financial strain of collecting and they even further suggested that collectors pay attention to whats hot in other toy lines.

    Thank you.
maybe thats why i dont like the big time scalpers either lol.

I wouldnt be scalping if i wasn't interested in the stuff myself and collected it myself. so yeah if i find the opportunity the money just goes back into star wars

sometimes people however, like on rebelscum, find that the majority opinion should be fact or law.. which is retarded
