Wow, this makes it even sadder...

    You may or may not know that SomethingAwful has a special section called Truthmedia, which created deliberately crappy moive reviews for the sole purpose of attracting flame mail from enraged fan-boys. A while ago, Truthmedia published a review for Fellowship of the Ring, that contained a huge amount of mistakes, and today the 'mail' was published.

    Like many others, I was reading and laughing at the silly people that missed the part on the front page which said that this was a 'joke', and wondering who would be so stupid. I was reading and laughing, that is, until I came across this name:

    From: Paul Twomey
    Subject: observations of your review for LOTR:FOTR

    Oh. My. God. I know this guy personally. He organised our Lord of the Rings premiere, and I've become a good friend of his. I feel so sorry for him knowing that he's now the laughing stock of about 20,000 people. I still don't know how to break the news to him.
