All I'd want in the event of my untimely death would be a roast, with vin as Roastmaster.

 

Do they roast the Dead? Seems like it would be a waste of time since the person isn't there to be roasted.

 

It would be an untraditional roast.

 

The whole point of a roast is to tell someone to their face what a **** head they are and then laugh it off. If the person is dead it's sort of pointless.

 

I should be lying on my right side. Everyone should mention that I died pure of heart, and say that this is not the true life.

 

I always wanted a gigantic tombstone with teeny little lettering on it that you have to get really close to read. It would say, "Get off my head."

 

In all seriousness, though, this is a bizarre thread. Ender is certainly fetishizing bluntness as some special, vaunted form of truthfulness. But so are many of the defenses of dizfactor in this thread. It wasn't that he was just "fearless" or that he beat people in arguments or that no one ever disliked him. He could be actively cruel, and among other things publicly sexually harassed users for mere disagreements, in ways that are pretty unparalleled. These aren't things I find particularly endearing, even having not had any personal interaction with him.

What is he, most of all, though? Dead. To those who enjoyed his behavior, they'll never see it again. To those whom he was awful, they'll never have to suffer it again. That's ultimately why it doesn't matter anymore, and this is a tiresome discussion. Whatever he was is long ago wiped away from any contemporary relevance. Let it lie.

 

And feelings are for creatures made of mere flesh and bone.

 

This whole existence is tiresome. We must interface with our robot overlords at some point and their master thespian Will Smith. Then our robotic acting journey will be complete.

 

Being sad that someone you didn't particularly care for is dead isn't being "two faced" you idiot.
