    If anybody wants to split/share the cost of a room, I'm up for it.
    I'll probably be staying Sunday Night-Thursday Morning.
    I'd be alone, and wouldn't mind some company. :D

    You could get YJN, and dress them up as Hobbits. [face_laugh]

    A con on 15-17! of this year! Finally a LOTR event that takes place inside where Canadians aren't freezing their butts off. It looks good so far.

    I think the Duck would play the role well, it would go well with that evil laugh of his...

    Duker would do a good job at that. I think Wil would have better luck at being a Giant Eye..... (I can just see him racing down a hallway going, "Zooooom" and "VZooooom")

    Tessa;

    "My kitchen is at your command, Wil, gamemaster of Greyhawk."

    Wil;

    "Build me a nacho dish, worthy of the superbowl..."

    Duker;

    "What word from Victoria Park? What does the Wil command?"

    Tessa;

    "We have work to do..."

    If you are looking to stay for the convention. Phone to see what their non-convention price is. We found at the Star Wars con last year (in the US) that it was actually cheaper to say you weren't with the con than to book a room reserved for the con.
    The LOTR con is at the Colony Hotel at 89 Chestnut street.
    The Colony Hotel phone #416-977-0707.

    As well, try the smaller Metropolitan Hotel at 108 Chestnut Street to see if they are cheaper. Phone#416-977-5000.

    Jymm, never, never chop off hair! Especially for costumes! I got mine trimmed back a couple of inches about 2 weeks ago and I'm really mourning it. The hair in LOTR is *so* wonderful *swoon!*

    Anyone know if elves wear black often? If so I already have my costume lined up.. with a few adjustment.

    And I'm not sure if little Kaj is reading this board, yet I still think Wil would be perfect as the Evil Eye of Sauron... *VZooom!* :p

    You just like the idea of me wreathed in flame, ever watchful...

    ;)

    And to answer your question, ya, Dark Elves, or Drow Elves as they're called favor a darker garb as opposed to the earthly tones.

    A good folk generally, if a tad misunderstood...

    EDIT:

    "Little Kaj?," Cronologically, your just a few months older ya know...

    Little Kaj indeed. *Scoffs* Da Punk can benchpress over a 100...

    :p

    To the Fire, I am a pyro... *gazes insanly* Fire :)

    Well, then, I have my costume lined up... just need to get a couple things before the day.

    For people who are interested in LOTR costumes and who don't frequent the Costume and Props board, they have a thread on it here. Some really amazing stuff as usual!

    The costume I have is quite nice. Mabye I'll take a picture of it soon enough.

    Black dress (velvety) with a hood and a gold trim. Very nice. I might just tie a tassle around my waste to finish it off.

    Yet of course I can't forget the elf ears! I'll head over to malabar's over on queen to get them.

    Lol I guess I should concentrate more on my Jedi costume rather then my Hobbit one since I will be making more appearances lol.
