In this thread we discuss the mini-series RED by Mr. Warren Ellis, and the soon to come out film starring Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman, among others.
I've seen the trailers for this, and it looks really, really good. The kicker? It comes out on my birthday! They beat Boston!: 2009-2010 L.A. Lakers: Back-to-Back World Champions
Well, DUH. But, it comes out on my birthday! That and the title? Priceless. They beat Boston!: 2009-2010 L.A. Lakers: Back-to-Back World Champions
Loved the comics and after seeing the trailer looking very much forward to this movie. "We're getting the band back together." *giggles*
I know, the list of great comics I haven't read would make you cry. Just 3, maybe I'll make it happen
Be warned, though: the graphic novel is vastly different from the upcoming movie. The comic is very dark and gritty.
Saw this last night, and was a wee bit disappointed. The movie started off really, really slow, and I wasn't much impressed with the ending, but the middle was very solid. All the actors did a fine job, especially Malkovich (who is always a treat) and Karl Urban. 3 out of 4 stars on my scale. They beat Boston!: 2009-2010 L.A. Lakers: Back-to-Back World Champions
Saw the movie yesterday. Vastly different from the comic, but a very fun ride to me. Willis is still lovely to watch.
Oh...RED. I thought this was about RAD. Which is quite possibly the absolute PINNACLE of extreme sports movies.
I enjoyed the first. I hope the 2nd one is fun/awesome too. *RED not RAD. RAD still makes me cry in pain.
Oh I hope so! I want an epic battle of Eomer vs Wedge Antilles. On horses. Red ones, to make it relevant to the story. In space.
Re-read my review for the first film... was way too harsh. After repeated viewings over the past couple of years, I rate the first RED 3 1/2 out of 4. The sequel looks really delightful.
