allergies - the bane of my existence

i don't know how many beautiful summer days have been ruined by the constant sneezing, the itchy nose, the burning red eyes...

yes, it is hell. the allergy season is relatively short but it happens during the time of the year that should be the nicest, the time when people should be doing things outside, camping, swimming, hiking, sports... but all of these things are made barely tolerable by my allergy to... hmmm, i guess it's pollen, i'm not even sure.

so, does anyone else in the house suffer from this terrible affliction?

 

Can't say I do, Tom. But I feel for you. My best mate suffers from it, too.

But you know you can take eye drops that really help lessen the irritation?

 

yeah, i do take the eye drops once in a while when i think of it, but i never seem to have them with me when i really need them. i also take some over-the-counter medicine that helps a bit. i really should go to the doctor and get some prescription stuff, but i hear if you go to an allergy specialist they give you this long series of painful shots and that doesn't sound like much fun.

 

Yes, I got allergies.

Weird thing is, last summer I was perfectly fine. I thought I had out-grown them. But this year they're back and worse than the past couple of years. But instead of sneezing this year, I'm coughing :S

 

ah yes the coughing, i get that too, combined with an itchy throat.
