But some things ARE better and more easily solved via PM's. It's like someone getting caught shoplifting or stealing a mailbox and the whole thing gets taken to the Supreme Court. It's unnecessary, overkill, and it brings in way too many people and opinions into a matter that's solved in a matter of minutes at a local level and between a few people.

There are some punk kids in my area that go around stealing mail. I had to get a mailbox with a key lock.

The Sarcasm Knights Grand Plan of Action to Get a Thread:

    1. Ask the mods for a thread

    2. Ask the mods for a thread & say 'please'

    3. Ask the mods for a thread & say 'pretty please with a cherry on top'

    4. Tell the mods that, if we don't get a thread, we'll sulk

    5. So there

    6. Make cunning arguments in favour of a thread and gloss over the fact that they contradict previous, less cunning arguments

    7. Ask the mods for a thread

    8. Ask the mods for a thread in a way that makes it look like we'll keep on asking

    9. Until the mods' brains go all gooey and start glooping out of their ears

    10. Return to 1.

You know what, guys? I think I can write a perl script that'll do the job for you! :p :p

PS - Mods: can they have a thread, please?

edit - 'discussion' can get repetitive... maybe there should be a lobbying board?

He's saying that my original complaint was how a thread got derailed by you asking for your thread, and then this one did the exact same thing, and it's ironic

"Don't like their answer? PM SAPE OR KK NEXT!"

Well see I do that, I generally cut out the small fry who generally shrug and sit on their fins and go straight to the guys who can make decisions.

Although considering the last complaint I made a few days ago to the Head Admins about being flamed right here in Comms was met with "I'll have to find it" after my 2 PM's with links prompting action, I don't really put much stock in the impartiality, objectivity or fair-mindedness of any of the people who claim to moderate this particular forum.

So really, where's the impetus for the user to want to improve these boards (and therefore post their idea's in this forum) when the vast, vast majority of idea's never go anywhere and the administration actively discourages innovation in lieu of maintaining the status quo?

Cool. Possibly cooler than exloding toads. Any chance you could get Glymmer to film it & make the footage available online?
