WTH is Star Wars?

My friends kept telling me that it was a good series, and that this guy named George Lucas made it. When I heard it had muppets in it I decided I must see it. That is, until my dad told me it was some sort of space based soap opera....and I really hate those things. So I did some googling, and I found out that this is the biggest Star Wars fansite, and I figured I'd come here and ask you what it is. If it's some kind of soap opera, I'd probably best avoid it like the plague.

Star Wars is science fiction with a lot of blowing up stuff, and some eastern religion like mind stuff that makes some characters really cool. They can move stuff with their brains and send back laser shots.

Or, as we say in Star Wars, "blaster bolts".

Well, anyway, watch 'em immediately. Best. Movie. Series. Evar.
