There's one thing I have to say to [link=http://www.brianstoys.com/acatalog/GI_Joe_Indiana_Jones_12__Figures.html#a13034]this[/link]: WTH????????????????????????????????????????? What are they thinking? They must be on some strange drug I've never heard of

(In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the black Indiana Jones figure)

Edit: I changed the title and the same word in your post

It is crazy, I totaly agree. Why change the figure?

Nonetheless, you might want to edit the title. Iirc you could get into trouble for that, it's a banned phrase ;)

Heh, reminds me of the Jarome Iginla/Saku Koivu mix-up MacFarlane had with the mini-hockey figures (the skin colors were mixed up).

I just find it interesting that they would change the figure for no apparent reason.

Maybe the new starwarsshop.com exclusive after the holo Emperor will be a black Luke or maybe a white Mace! How exciting!

    > for no apparent reason.

The reason is it's based on the MGM-Disney Indy stunt show. I assume there's a black stuntman who performs as Indy in some of those shows, and this figure is a representation of him.

But yes, it is still a bit baffling.

I have been to Disney-MGM and saw the Indy stunt show 3 times and Indy has always been white.

It is my understanding that there are quite a few stunt Indy's for that show. They only work a few weeks a year, a lot for only one stint at a time, primarily for safety reasons, though I was told there were insurance concerns also. You would think it'd be pretty conceivable there's a black Indy in there somewhere. Heck, with all the explosions and smoke, most of the white Indy's look black due to soot anyway, after the show.

Besides, if Vader can be silver, Indy can be black! :p

The only thing I find baffiling is that they're charging 70 dollars for it.

Since the figure is suposed to be of the stuntman in Indana Jones its conciveable a black person might play him. And if a black kid wants to grow up to be Indy, why not?

They make orange lightsabers "for addtional role playing options" and they make black versions of most Barbie dolls, so now Indy is so iconic that he trancends race.

Can you maybe edit some of those question marks out so we don't have a side-scroller?

    Cheers :)
