You don't have to watch HL 2 and 3, I didn't see #3 myself. (try to find a copy... that's nearly impossible! )


Oh, and you wanted me to fight yesterday. There's a big difference between arguing and fighting.

If you know of the series, then you'll be alright. You don't need the second and third films. Avoid the second and if you can find the third, you can.

The second film was an idiotic attempt at doing a sequel. HL3 went back to the roots of the original. The series follows that idea, but things are a bit different. Immortals still exist. The Prize hasn't been won by Connor. Kurgan is dead. And Duncan MacLeod is Connor's kinsman, born in 1592. Became Immortal in 1622 and met Connor in 1625. In 1779, Duncan recived a katana sword similar to Connor's, but with a different dragon head. In 1872, Duncan suffered an emotional break down and didn't fight in the Game as it's called now. He did this until 1992, when he was forced to resume the battle against evil Immortals. In 1993, Duncan meets Joe Dawson. He's part of a group called the Watchers. For 4,000 years, they have known about Immortals. They observe and record, but never interfere. For the most part. Some have broken that rule and killed Immortals. Namely Joe's former brother-in-law, the late James Horton. Another ally of Duncan's is Methos. The oldest living Immortal at 5,000 years. At least that. He was at one time a brutal killer before giving up that life. For the last 200 years, he's stayed out of the Game. in 1995, he was forced to return. But he picks and choses his fights.

Only saw the first movie and some episodes of the series
but I really liked the original idea ...

 

Well then you'd enjoy Endgame. Connor's first wife, Heather appears via flashback. And his adopted daughter Rachel, appears in the prolouge. Dawson and Methos round out for Duncan's side. It feels more like a sequel than part 2. The third film is good, but was missing a couple elements were in the first and fourth film.

 

I haven't seen the fourth film, yet but the the first one was the best in my opinion and the series has some cool sequences, too.

 

Trust me, Endgame doesn't disappoint. At least, in my opinion. You were better not seeing it in theaters.

 

I liked the look of that series-hero ... that was Duncan, right?
